2021 :: 23/52

 monday Al was back to work. the kids and ran and bought a pool from grandpa peter's neighbor for a good deal! then we went to jodi's for a water day/slip n slide. 

tuesday the kids and i met cassie, liam and elliott at Altoona beach and had a good time! we'll definitely be going back there! 

wednesday Al was off and he got the boat fixed and we took it out on Lake Altoona. it ran great! we toured the lake then stopped and swam off the boat (the kids' first time jumping off the boat!) we had fun. 

thursday morning we did a little garage saling. then during nap time i had my yearly physical. then i went with jodi to get her tattoos. then home for a quick supper before i went to play sand volleyball with cassie. 

friday Al was back to work for the weekend. the kids and i had another water day at jodi's, prepped for going to the cities for the weekend, doing crafts, and playing. 

saturday morning we headed up to mom's. after naptime, uncle jimmy, claire, maren, nick, tula, etta and leni came over to make lasagna for the lake. it was so good to see them and we had fun. 

sunday morning we went swimming at my cousin aryn's pool with her and her son camden. it was fun and a great morning for it. after naptime, we went to my great uncle gordon's funeral with mom. it was so good to see a lot of family that we haven't seen in a while (my dad's side.) 

monday morning we went to the big park and splash pad in woodbury and met my friend Mona there and her 2 kids Ollie and Lucy who are about the same age as our kids. kids had fun! then we drove home for lunch.

we had a random, sun shower down pour complete with a rainbow in our backyard so Trevor and i played in it!!

2021 :: 22/52

 tuesday was my last day of work at jodi's and we had carsyn and russell's birthday party there. it was trevor's second to last day of school. Al and grandpa peter got one of the new basement windows in. 

wednesday Al worked. after breakfast the kids and i loaded up in the car and went to the big park (carson park). it was fun and got hot quick. the library's book bike was there so we got to check out some library books and there was a crafting table. trevor did origami while tova played some more. once home, we played in the backyard including setting up our little plastic pool for the first time this year. i uncovered the boat finally and rinsed down the covers. just before lunch time the kids went in teh pool but only their feet because hose water is cold. during naptime/quiet time, i worked downstairs then the kids had snack. we went outside and swam in the a-little-warmer pool until supper time. Al was late getting home. :(

thursday was trevor's last day of first grade. they had a fun day with outside activities. tova and i garage saled a bit then played at home. after school pickup, my dad came down to drop off some furniture from my papa's house and played a game a cribbage with Trevor before heading out. 

Al was off Friday-Sunday. friday we all went garage saling; there were a TON of sales. theen home for the kids to swim a bit before lunch. trevor made himself a reading chart and he read almost the whole time during quiet time! he's starting with very small chapter books but i bet he'll be moving to bigger ones soon. after quiet time, the kids swam out back in our smaller pool and played out back until supper time. it was SUPER HOT all weekend! 

saturday morning mom came down. we ran to a church sale and a couple garage sales then came home to play outside before it got really hot. during naptime, mom and i worked in the backyard for a bit but it was hot!! after nap/quiet time, the kids tried out our new sprinkler and swam a bit. Al grilled brats and hot dogs for supper; our first grill out. we played some 4 handed cribbage to refresh before the lake. 

sunday morning Al and i got to run to a couple sales by ourselves. grandpa peter came over for a bit. Al got another basement window in and we got the boat in the garage. mom left after lunch. trevor read 3 more chapter books during quiet time and tova slept good.

2021 :: 21/52

 tuesday was my second to last work day at jodi's for this school year; Al worked.

wednesday morning, the kids and i went to irvine park with jodi adn her kids and daycare kids. we saw the animals, played at the park and had a picnic lunch. it was a gorgeous, sunny, yet chilly morning! at naptime i laid out for a bit and read and weeded. after school we spent the whole time outside in the backyard until supper. i trimmed up all the super long grass around our chainlink fence and garden. the kids played with rockets, water and drove their jeep & 4 wheeler. after supper, trevor and i went to cam's baseball game. there were lots of our people there so trevor played soccer with the other kids teh whole time. he was beat! after bedtime, i went to the bar by kassie and jake's house with jodi and her family (she had some other family in town for her grandma's funeral.) it was fun but we stayed up until 1am. 

thursday it rained ALL day and was cold! after school drop off, tova, al and i went garage saling but there weren't many open. during naptime, Al and i worked downstairs; him selling his ebay stuff and me putting away things that were neglected since before the garage sale. after school pick up, i went and got my first tattoo! jodi was supposed to go with me, but she had her grandma's funeral in Platteville. 

friday Al was back to work for the weekend. it was cold out! after school dropoff, tova and i ran some errands and hit some garage sales. 

saturday morning mom came down and it was gorgeous outside all day! we went garage saling in the morning then went to the farmers market downtown where we got olive dip, pita chips and ice cream cones. we got to listen to a band that had an accordion in it while we ate our ice cream cones. during nap, mom and i worked on the firepit project and made our lists for the lake, all outside. after nap, the kids joined us working on the firepit and Trevor got to saw the old logs apart all by himself. he was pretty excited about that! then it was supper and bath time. 

sunday it rained all day so we stayed in all day. mom went home at nap time. 

monday was memorial day and Al was off work. it was nice out! we ran to a couple garage sales in the morning then found a cool, new to us playground for the kids. once home grandpa peter came over and the kids had lunch. during naptime, i worked outside on the fire pit, mowing the lawn and cleaning the porch out. we went over to matt & jodi's house for supper and had a fish fry of the fish we'd caught the weekend before.
