Tuesday morning we found an epic garage sale in which Al and i both had our arms full, paid, put that stuff in the car and went back for a second round!
wednesday morning we had a water day at jodi's house including 2 pools, a water table, squirt guns, our slip n slide, water balloons and friends. it was fun but not really that sunny/hot out; that didn't bother the kids much tho.
thursday was prep for cabin day and a bit of garage saling although their weren't many.
friday morning we all packed up and left for uncle jimmy's cabin which is usually a 5 hour drive. it took us over 8 hours because we stopped at a bunch of garage sales along the way and stopped at a beach playground. we made it just in time for supper and nana was already there. maren, nick and their girls didn't come up until late that night.
saturday morning after breakfast i took maren shopping and although we didn't make it to many, we did find some good stuff! the grandparents took the kids out on the boat while we were gone. then during nap time, i got to read and nap on the boat a bit then we helped uncle jimmy take out a dead tree from the lake. after quiet time, we played, ate supper, had a gorgeous boat ride, a bonfire with s'mores, and then bed time.
sunday we packed up and headed out about 10 am. we met maren, nick and girls along the drive for lunch and a quick park play.
monday Al went back to work. it was mostly cleaning, crafting, laundry and play for us in the morning. then after nap, we went to jodi's for another water day and ended up staying for supper and s'mores. right as i was packing up to leave, tova fell off the teeter totter and cut her lip. after the bleeding stopped i realized that she'd actually pushed one of her beautiful front buck teeth up into her gums about halfway. :( it was bruised and swollen and painful but the dentist wasn't too worried about it and said it should come back down into place by itself.
