2019 :: 49/52

Tova: she says so much now including "go Vikings" which sounds like "go monkeys" but she says it whenever she sees anything football or purple; her dada loves that... ;) she also says "merry griffin" for merry Christmas, she says "one more time" a lot but says it many many times in a row, she loves the songs baby shark and elmo song and can sing some of it and do the motions with baby shark & itsy bitsy spider, they way she says "mickey mouse" is so cute (mcky mouse), sesame street is her favorite show although she knows the name of all the pbs shows trevor watches too, she hasn't eaten or slept well in 4 weeks now (I think it's a combo of teeth, colds, and maybe a little separation anxiety)

Tuesday we went to Jodi's to play.

Al had wed & thurs off. Wednesday morning we went to jenny's to play and get my hair cut. it was the first time tova and klare were on the same ability levels so they played together so good/cute! they did dress up, klare did tova's hair, and they played together with toys. Wednesday after school we shoveled and played outside for a bit.

Thursday night was the last nice day/night for a while so we went to Irvine park to walk through the big Christmas light display. it was fun and beautiful. 

Friday night the kids and I went over to matt & Jodi's for supper and to do some Christmas crafts with the kids. it was a fun night! I got to play cribbage with Jodi's dad again (it had been a while) and he beat me both games. :) 

Saturday morning the kids and I headed up to mom's house to unpack quick, pick up mom, and we went up to my chiropractor in the cities' office to see santa, do some crafts, and have some snacks. maren and her 3 girls met us up there. it was fun and not very busy! tova wouldn't sit on santa's lap until the very end and I had to bribe her with a cookie. :) there was also an amazing face painting lady there! then we all went back to mom's house for our annual cookie making day. tova and leni napped, the bigger kids had fun decorating the sugar cookies even if it stressed out their mommas a bit. ;)

that night, maren and I went with my brother and his friends to our first escape room experience. it was so fun; we love puzzles!! 

sunday we headed home, unpacked, played, saw Al before work, and relaxed.

2019 :: 48/52 :: Thanksgiving

Al was off this whole week!!! Tuesday during nap, trevor and I went with chloe and Jodi to a ceramic painting place for Chloe's birthday. the kids had fun painting and we'll get their finished products ina  week or 2. mom came down Tuesday afternoon for thanksgiving since we got so much snow Tuesday night and Wednesday. Wednesday we did puzzles, played, shoveled & played in the snow twice, had quiet time, and enjoyed a day at home.

Thursday was Thanksgiving. we ate about 4ish; grandpa peter came, too.

Friday about 9, mom, trevor and I did a little black Friday shopping at blain's farm & fleet and menards. we didn't have long lines and we got everything we wanted. while we did that, Al took Tova to urgent care since she'd been not eating well, sleeping well or feeling very good plus a night time cough for 2 weeks. they had quite a bit of a wait, but figured out she had a little virus/fluid in her lungs (originally thought it might be pneumonia) and a sinus infection. she was put on amoxicillin again (she was on it in sept and oct, too...) mom headed home once we were back from shopping since we got more snow Friday night thru sunday.

Friday night the risen's came over for game night for matt's birthday. we had tacos, played, the kids got to play Mario kart, the little girls went to bed about 8, the big kids watched a movie with popcorn while the adults played cards against humanity. it was a fun night! they left shortly after 10.

Saturday and sunday were awful for Tova; she had high fevers, just sat around, didn't eat much or sleep very well. so between that and the snow, we stayed in all weekend. trevor and Al shoveled and walked to grandpa peter's but otherwise we were inside.

Monday Al was back to work, trevor was back to school, tova felt better but was about the same as she'd been for the 2 weeks prior, and I tried to remember our routine. we drove to school then tova and I ran a few errands before coming back to relax a bit and see Al before nap/work. when we drove by the school at 10 we saw trevor and all the kindergarteners playing outside and playing on the big snow hills from the plows. kind of weird because the last time they'd been at school there was no snow.
