2018 :: 51/52

Tuesday morning the kids and I went to pick up tova's water table she's buying with her Christmas money from grama DD and grandpa rick. after that we stopped at the children's museum for a short visit. we got to see the new fire truck portion! then after trevor got on the bus, I went to trevor's school for his 2nd stay & play event. since Al ended up having to go in early, Jackie next door came and sat with Tova (who napped the whole time.) we listened to some stories and then played in his room.

Al had Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday morning we went and played at Jodi's house for a bit. after school we let trevor and tova open 2 presents from auntie molly. trevor got a book and a circuit maker set, and tova got 2 books, one musical which she loved! trevor played with his circuit maker for long amounts of time every day; first thing in the morning, after school, etc.

Thursday I got to volunteer in trevor's class again (I do this every other Thursday when Al is off) and it was pajama day at their school. it was fun, then we went home to tova and dada and played the rest of the night.

the kids both had runny noses this week and my thumb/wrist tendinitis acted up again.

Friday morning while we were eating breakfast, unc-o showed up to play! Tova ended up only napping 20 minutes and crying lots and being pretty clingy to me, so I ended up taking her in after lunch. she had a left ear infection, fluid in both ears, and a viral cold. unc-o left about 2, Al left for work at 420, so the kids and I had some fun once tova was up from her long afternoon nap. we played bouncing balls, had supper, made chocolate covered pretzels, then did a steam room in the bathroom (to help their noses) while playing in a water bucket with trevor's ocean friends animals. then pjs, some puzzles and books, and bed.

Saturday mom came down. sunday morning, mom rode with the kids and I up to her house so that Al could drive her car up on Monday after he woke up. once there we unpacked, got tova a nap, and then after lunch we headed to my cousin maren's house for the nesset Christmas. we had fun, the kids got some presents, we played some games (mom and I skunked tyler and uncle jimmy in cribbage twice!), we ate good food, tova took a nap, and then we headed back to mom's house.

Tova: she says momma, dada, and I swear she says trevor now and she'll sometimes do it when I ask her to, she's pulling up to standing on everything now and has mostly figured out how to get back down onto the ground, she'll "walk" now if you hold her hands, she still follows her brother everywhere which he doesn't really care for and is always looking for him, she loves to bite toes,


Trevor had school Monday-Thursday this week and Al worked wed & thurs. Tuesday night we went to Irvine park to walk through the Christmas lights with matt, Jodi, cam, chloe and Carsyn. it was so much fun! we went to dinner first (Mexican) then headed there then drove by one of the set-to-music Christmas light houses. the kids got to bed late but it wasn't too cold and it was a good time!

Wednesday we woke up to some snow so during tova's nap, trevor and I went out and shoveled. once we came in, he had hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Thursday morning my dad came down to play for a bit, I beat him in 2 games of cribbage (that never happens), he watched trevor get on the bus, then headed out.

Friday once Al was awake, we all headed up to the cities. once there and unpacked, mom, tyler, trevor and I ran to ikea to shop for a bit while tova and Al napped. after supper, mom left for cards and us 4 plus tyler went over to visit my papa in his new assisted living place. he was so happy to see us! his eyes have gotten pretty bad but i'm thankful he can hear us with his hearing aids in! then it was back to mom's house and in to bed!

Saturday morning us 4 and mom went to our annual winter wonderland in oakdale with my softball friends: manda, johnny, eva, Elouise, meg, summer, skye, ty, Kunde, matt, gwen and Jordy! it was pretty nice out and a great time as usual! the kids did great sitting on santa's lap again (tova cried after looking at him), we loved the horse drawn hay ride, bonfire, s'mores, candy cane hunt, petting zoo, dogs, and the obstacle course. once back at mom's tova took a nap and we had unc-o's birthday lunch and he opened his presents and we had cake. then about 3 pm the 4 of us went over to matt & Kunde's house for the somewhat annual ugly sweater party this time including kids. it was SO much FUN!! the big kids played downstairs (Trevor did great!) and tova was downstairs with summer some of the time, then she napped, then she ate out in the garage where the adults were playing games, then mom came to get her for bed time. we mostly played catch phrase after dark and laughed tons! we were home to mom's by 945p.

sunday morning we drove home, got a bunch of stuff done, watched some of the football games and then once tova was awake, T, T and I walked down to the park for a bit since it was so nice out! once back home we went in back and played with sleds and Al joined us!

Monday morning we got our stuff done and played, trevor got on the bus, I ran a bunch of errands while tova slept, then as Al got ready for work tova and I went for a walk since it was almost 40 degrees again, before I went to get trevor and then Al went to work. Trevor had a runny/stuffy nose that started sunday morning. Monday night I gave trevor a haircut because the hat hair was just too much :)
