2018 :: 2/52

Tuesday morning I had another midwife appointment and Al was still off work so he stayed home with Trevor. I have one more 2 week appointment then I go to every week; so crazy. only about 6 weeks left!! the appointment was good; I gained no weight (finally! thank goodness Christmas cookie season is over!), baby's heartbeat was high again 160 then went down to 150s, she's head down already hopefully she stays that way, and is facing sideways so we're hoping she faces back by labor time to try to avoid back labor this time! my blood pressure is still really good. next appointment will be my group b strep test and that's the last test before baby. i'm thinking they'll start checking me at appointments again too. after my appointment I ran some errands by myself including going to target! once I got home, Al and Trevor were playing outside since it was still 30s and nice out! so I joined them outside for a while and it was great!

Wednesday morning Trevor had his first dental appointment. he did great!! they kind of feel the kid out on the first appointment and don't always get everything or anything done, but they did everything they needed to with him! xrays, cleaning, polishing, exam with the dentist and he did great and even answered their questions! afterwards we came home and rode his bike around the neighborhood before it snowed and got cold again. Al worked overnight.

Thursday early morning it rained, then the temp dropped and then it started to snow shortly after we got up. we eventually got about 2.5 inches of snow, so after naptime (in which T didn't nap even after a rough morning, very 3 year old) and after 1 Trevor show, we went outside to shovel, bring in the garbage can/recycling bin, and get the mail. it was super windy and cold but we got it done (felt hard for me due to being 34 weeks pregnant). then in for supper, a movie and bed time.

Friday morning we went to the toddler time at the newly renovated water park here in town with Jodi, chloe, graham, robin, Amaya, jake, kade and Kinsley. it was so much fun, nice and warm and cheap! we'll definitely do that again! they had a big kid area and then a smaller 4 foot pool that had some lily pad things in one part which trevor loved jumping across them.

Friday night Al worked until 8 and brohmer came up about 730p. Saturday was Al (and Brohmer's) alumni track meet at noon. mom came down Saturday morning and we went to watch it. Al threw really well in both weight and shot put; better than he has in years! then we had a late lunch and Trevor napped 330-430. Al and Brohmer came home until their party at 7p and they stayed out til 230am.... Mom, Trevor and I stayed in and warmed up; it was freezing outside!

sunday mom left in the morning as it started snowing and didn't stop until Monday night. we watched the Vikings playoff game at home (brohmer left right before the game) and we snuck out a win!! it was a great ending!

Monday morning, Trevor and Al shoveled the driveway, ran to matt & Jodi's quick and then picked up lunch while I worked around the house and finished pricing/tagging all the consignment sale clothes of Trevor's that i'm going to sell! then during nap, Al got a call that his boss was on his way over to pick him up for his leadership training in the dells until Thursday.

I've been thankful that baby girl is still pretty high since I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to pee, but I feel like I can see that in this comparison picture. having to take my heartburn medicine every night, lower back is hurting when I wake up now, but still feeling pretty good. hit me hard to say we have 6 weeks left; that feels like no time at all... I have so much I want to do and don't know if i'm (or Trevor is) ready for 2 kids.

it's weird/cool to read about my pregnancy each week with trevor and compare; they're so similar! like I haven't wanted/craved ice cream much at all but this week had to have some and that's exactly what I said at 34 weeks with trevor. I started my hospital bag this week too same as with T.

I have my first, new stretch marks... they're small but there, ugh, was hoping for no new ones. I've been trying to remember to use my belly oil (from Al's cousin Jenny, she makes it) every day but sometimes forget.

2018 :: 1/52

happy new year!! this year we become a family of 4!!! great things are ahead, I can feel it! my focus this year will be simplifying life and investing in people (including myself)!

Monday was new years day and Al had off work! we had a nice morning hanging out at home; I got a bunch of stuff done including taking the tree down, and we played with a bunch of trevor's new toys. after lunch and nap, we went over to the neighb's house again for leftovers from the party the night before for supper. :)

Tuesday morning Al took the Edge in to finally be fixed from hitting the deer. we got a loaner vehicle which is a gmc acadia (suv) brand new and it's so fancy. the edge isn't supposed to be done until the 16th of January so we'll have it for 2 weeks. I ran to the grocery store and target to get a few things while Trevor and Al played. then we all napped; Al worked overnights 7p-330a all this week.

Wednesday morning trevor and I ran to shopko for a few things and then home for lunch and nap. I went over to Jodi's house to watch kids while her and matt went to their ultrasound to find out gender! once they were home I went home to wake up T and bring him over for the reveal. it's a girl too!! that means we'll have 4 eau Claire girls within a year: Kinsley, Klare, ours and baby girl risen, so crazy! and Klare, ours and Jodi's will be in the same grade. we stayed for pizza supper and I made a pink and blue cake for dessert.

Thursday morning trevor and I did lots of crafts and got some stuff done including finishing going through all of trevor's old clothes and sorting it into piles for consignment, garage sale, and to keep for baby girl/save. so many clothes! Al woke up after lunch and put Trevor down for nap; I napped for an hour, looks like i'm back to the tiredness & napping during nap time, and Trevor didn't. at 430 I drove up to high roller to check out the indoor playground area where we're thinking of having T's birthday party; it was good, looked fun and had a little arcade too so once home I registered online to have his golden birthday party there. one month until he's 4; so crazy!! then T and I played, then watched a movie with popcorn before bed.

Friday was super cold again so we just played inside all day. same with Saturday, crafts, playing, working on the clothes downstairs. Al was off Sunday & Monday so we ran some errands and played. Trevor didn't nap until 330. Monday after lunch we went to the movie theater to see Ferdinand as a family; our first family movie theater experience. it was expensive but a cute movie and we had fun. once home trevor and I took a nap, then we went over to the neighb's for supper.

2017 :: 52/52

Tuesday morning I had my midwife appointment; not much at these appointments, just blood pressure, measure my uterus, and take baby's heart beat/rate. I voiced my concern about the lack of movement the week prior and after getting baby's heart beat, the midwife was not concerned at all. baby girl had a 180 heartbeat right away and then it went down to 160/150, so again I was told she's an active one in there. the midwife said the spike in heart rate is good to see and that she's moving a lot in there, i'm just likely not feeling it all. Grandpa peter stayed until nap time and Al worked at 3p.

it was really cold (highs below zero) this week so we didn't do a whole lot. mom came down Wednesday morning and stayed until Friday. I was able to get baby's room much more set up, rearranged it a bit to fit better, mom brought the bassinet down from maren, Al hung up the 3 shelves and brought the nursing chair up from downstairs. I got out the boppy, some blankets, sheets, my pump, etc. so I feel much more prepared for her. I was also able to get through more of trevor's stored clothes and separate them into piles to sell and keep; i'm hoping to have lots prepped for consignment and garage sale before baby comes.

on Thursday mom and I did her 1500 piece Christmas puzzle that we love all in one day; we started it at naptime and finished it just before 10pm. we also got outside to shovel the driveway and play a bit even though it was cold.

Friday mid morning mom in her car and T and I in our car headed to mom's house. the roads had been slippery for a few days due to the cold, some little snow and black ice but our roads were good. once to mom's it snowed a little more making for slippery roads again. Al got called in early almost every day this week due to the road conditions and tyler had to go in and plow or help salt, too. so we just stayed in Friday night.

then Saturday morning I packed up our car and mom drove her car over to joann fabrics quick to pick out yarn for baby girl projects and then to river falls for auntie polly's mom marlene's funeral. besides a few family functions that i'd met marlene at, I house sat for her and zeke multiple times while I was in school in river falls. she had an infectious smile and was a great woman. trevor did great during the funeral, just played puzzles on my phone. then we went to lunch with mom, auntie judie, auntie Sheryl, and uncle wayne in RF before heading back to eau Claire. Trevor fell asleep just before we got home and slept more in his bed. Al got home at 8 pm and it was his Friday! so he had new years eve and new years day off!

sunday was new year's eve; we just hung out at home and played. Al and I watched football during nap time (T didn't fall asleep til after 330). we woke trevor up at 420, packed up and went over to matt and Jodi's house to do our present exchange with them quick before the new year's party there at 5. it was a fun party with lots of kids! matt, Jodi, cam, chloe, Al, me, trevor, jake Kassie, kade, Kinsley, Jenny, kali, kourtlyn, baby klare, leah, jedd, Cameron, Elliot, elise, cole, Melissa, kingsley, thaeden and Wesley. the kids had lots of fun playing and running around, we had lots of good food, lots of laughs and the adults did get in one game of 99 (I lost bad again). we did a countdown at 9pm for the kids where they got poppers and had necklaces and hats. we were home just after 1030, put trevor to bed and I followed shortly after.

feeling SO huge and big now, and people in the general public are starting to comment on me being preggo or asking about baby; guess I really look pregnant now. :) heart burn is usually always a factor at night now but the over the counter meds I got are helping. I can tell she's still pretty high as I don't have to get up at night to pee (although I do sometimes if i'm awake) and breathing can be tough. i'm trying to do some yoga/on all 4s every day/night in hopes of helping her turn head down and hoping to avoid back labor this time; we'll see. i'm starting to get nervous about labor and the unknown so I found my midwife/labor book that helped ease my nerves last time, so hoping to read that.
