2017 :: 46/52

Monday night Trevor and I walked to the park after nap since it was decent out finally.

Wednesday all 3 of us drove to Marshfield in the morning for Trevor's eye appointment. the doctor said trevor's eyes are "excellent", he could see great (shouldn't need glasses any time soon), and that could/would be our last eye appointment in Marshfield!! afterwards, we went to the little zoo place we always go to and the animals were very out and active including the bears being on their bridge. it was pretty cold and windy so we didn't stay too long. then we had lunch and drove home. halfway through the drive home, we switched drivers so Al could nap. just into Al's county, I hit a deer on the highway. I saw him at the last minute and probably scared the crap out of Al, so I was able to swerve a bit and hit his front on the driver's side front corner/headlight of our vehicle. that whipped his back end around, and his butt hit my driver's side door (which we didn't realize until later). I pulled over and due to being an animal lover, scared, and pregnancy hormones, I cried lots. Al got out and checked our car; luckily it was still drive-able, so while Al called his department, I drove to the next exit and into a parking lot. that's when I noticed the driver's side door and the poop on it... Al's co-worker was not able to come due to getting an emergency call, so Al ended up doing the crash report (since the damage was over $1000). once home and once T was down for nap, I called our insurance to get things started.

Thursday we didn't do much, just hung out around the house. Friday morning, Auntie Molly got here in the morning and Al took our edge in for an estimate and to schedule the repairs. they did the estimate ($4600, thank goodness for insurance) and we can't get in to get it fixed until January since they say they'll need the vehicle for 11 business days. once Al was back, we all drove up to rice lake to check out grandma DD and grandpa Rick's new trailer/lake home. we stopped by Al's coworker's house in bloomer to drop off a baby gift. they have a little guy Tyler who is a year younger than Trevor, so they had fun running around together. then we found the lake and eventually the trailer, which was nice and the lake looks good! we then had lunch in rice lake and grabbed a pie to take home. home for nap and then Al, auntie molly and Trevor hung out while I went shopping with Jodi.

Saturday morning we played a bit, before Trevor and I drove up to the cities for a baby shower and softball party. Auntie Molly stayed until Al left for work at 2ish. once we to mom's house, I fed trevor and put him down for nap before my dad got there to sit with him while I went to the baby shower. it was a baby shower for my cousin Aryn on my dad's side; she's due with a boy 5 weeks before me. it was a good little shower with my aunts, a cousin and some of Aryn's friends. I left at 4 to relieve dad, and Trevor did  not sleep for him... we then went to the softball end of the year party at kris and jeff's house (2 miles from mom's house) at 430. we had lots of fun even though trevor was crazy due to not napping, having so many kids to play with, and being obsessed with the nerf guns. we played left right center dice game which I didn't ever win, ate, and hung out with our friends. there were 13 kids there and I don't think we've ever had them all together.

sunday morning trevor got to play with nana and uncle a bit before we headed home to eat lunch, watch the Vikings win and lay down for a little nap. I didn't expect T to nap but he did, so I had to wake him up just before 3 so we could go to Chloe's birthday party at 3. it was a nice little party with our friends where we snacked, kids did crafts, ate cupcakes and hung out. we came home at 530 and did next to nothing but watch movies and eat a small supper. we were in trevor's room and he was spinning around getting dizzy when he fell over and bonked his head on the wall. I grabbed him and hugged him, and then asked him where it hurt. he tapped his head and then I saw that it was bleeding in his hair. so we rushed into the bathroom to get it to stop bleeding and then look at it. I thought I was a little gash but once Al was home from work, he put T in the bath, cleaned off all the blood and discovered it was more of a really small scratch, just some skin missing. thank goodness we didn't need to go in for stitches.

Monday morning Trevor was very happy to get some dada play time. they played legos for about 2 hours while I put out some winter/Christmas decorations, and then they went outside to play since it was 40 degrees until lunch time. then nap and Al had to leave for work.

2017 :: 45/52

Al had wed-Friday off this week so we got lots of stuff done around the house. we got all our outside stuff put away and leaves raked Wednesday after nap before the cold weather and some snow came. we've had such a cold fall; haven't done much outside. :( Thursday morning T and I went to the children's museum with Jodi, chloe, graham, jake, kade, Kinsley, jenny and kourtlyn. then Trevor didn't nap despite being in there for a couple hours and having played lots that morning. Thursday night we had matt, Jodi, cam and chloe over for supper and hanging out. Friday we stayed home all day and night; got a bunch more stuff done, played games, watched a movie.

Saturday morning mom came down and Jodi, cam and chloe came and picked up mom, T and I for craft saling. we went to 2 craft sales/places and then had lunch. once they dropped us off at 2, Al put trevor down for nap while mom and I went Christmas shopping some more.

sunday morning nana and Trevor played while I got a bunch of my sewing done. mom left at nap time. Al worked 3-11 after having worked overnight the night before, so we barely saw him. after nap, the sun was out and it wasn't bitterly cold, so we walked to the park for a little while. then came home to play/do crafts, eat, play legos again (he's really into his lego juniors lightening McQueen building set), and watch a movie.

Monday morning after breakfast and seeing Al, we went over to Jodi's house so I could watch the kids while she had a doctor's appointment. we had fun, had lunch over there, then came home for nap.

feeling like my belly bump is now close to where it was with Trevor; hopefully that'll help me not feel so huge. although I have gained more weight at this point; with Trevor i'd gained about 13 pounds at this point, with baby girl I've gained 18 pounds. but I don't have the hip pain like I did last time! I did play much less softball this time but have also been trying to do even a little bit of yoga/stretching each day (along with getting on all 4s for at least a little bit each day in hopes of avoiding the back labor this time.... we'll see). I feel pretty good most of the time, although I get really tired about 8 or 830. i'm trying to get lots of projects done around the house before 3rd trimester and probably more tiredness comes in 2 weeks.

2017 :: 44/52

Tuesday was Halloween. T and I went over to Jodi's in the morning for a little Halloween party with the kiddos; they played, did a craft, had a snack, had lunch & cupcakes, then we came home to see Al. Al worked 7p-330a and then had Wednesday and Thursday off. at about 2pm, trevor and I drove up to mom's house for trick or treating. we unpacked at mom's quick, then went over to my dad and papa's house for a bit, then great aunt & uncle sarajane and Gordon's house, and stopped at great aunt & uncle barry and Brenda's house like usual. uncle barry gave trevor one of his play tractors and trailer and T loved it! then we went back to mom's for supper, passing out candy, and T and I trick or treated at a handful of houses around mom's house. it was cold!! 31 degrees!

Wednesday morning, we drove home before the snow came. once home, we went outside with Al to sweep/rake and bag a bunch more leaves. we got the whole yard swept/raked and bagged in like 1.5 hours (so much less time than last year). Al took 2 loads down to the compost site just before it started to snow. we ended up getting enough snow to cover most of the grass but it was melted by morning which didn't make T happy because he really wants to make a snowman. I keep telling him there'll be plenty of time for that coming.

Thursday I finally got baby girl's room painted, well 3 walls anyhow, the 4th wall will be the accent wall and I still have to pick the color and get the paint for that. I painted the first coat in the morning while Al and Trevor played, and since paint dries much faster in November than July in Wisconsin, I was able to paint the second coat during naptime. Al helped me roll the end of the second coat. we kept the windows open in that room for 24 hours to help with the paint smell and it seemed to help; hopefully it didn't effect our heat bill too much.

Friday morning Trevor and I went over to Jodi's to play for a bit while Al slept in since he had to work overnight. we came home about 11 to play a bit then have lunch and nap. during nap, I had Al help me bring a bunch of packed baby stuff up from the storage area so that I could go through it. I went through 8 boxes/totes and consolidated, put things in a big box for a garage sale, and just went through to know what we all have. I was able to keep more clothes through 6 month of trevor's than I expected to use for baby girl. we put all the baby stuff into baby girl's room closet so it's all upstairs, I labeled it all, put some of the changing table stuff on the changing table, and organized the newborn through 3 month clothes in her dresser.

Friday night, T and I went over to matt & Jodi's house for supper and then hung out with Jodi and the kids for a bit afterwards. then home for some tv watching and then bed time. Saturday morning Trevor, Jodi, Cam, Chloe and I went to a big craft fair then home before swimming lessons. then after nap, T and I went to the budget movie theater with matt, Jodi & the kids to see lego ninjago movie and ate lots of popcorn. Al worked 3p-3a on our anniversary & through daylight savings time making it a 13 hour shift. :(

sunday morning T and I bummed around until about 11 where he went over to play with cam & chloe & matt while Jodi and I ran to the shed (shopping). then home to see Al before work and then nap. sunday night while making supper, I think I had my first ever Braxton hicks contraction. I never felt contractions with Trevor until I was way into labor and they were all in my back, so i'm not certain what front contractions feel like. but I think that's what it was; I texted the other mom's I know/love and a couple of them had had them before and said to just lay down, relax and drink water, that they usually come on with dehydration and doing too much. I know I didn't drink as much water as I usually do and had been cleaning for about an hour before hand. gonna try to avoid those in the future.

Monday morning, T and I drove up to mom's house bright and early, picked her up and then drove out to River Falls for her colonoscopy. we dropped her off, then went shopping, had lunch at a play place, found a cool park to play at (although not for long since it was cold out) then back to sit with her in recovery. they found a polyp that they removed so it was good she did it; we left about 130p back to mom's house where we hung out for the rest of the night. nap, pizza supper with uncle, playing and bed.

Tuesday morning, T and I ran errands in the cities and in eau Claire (we got to say bye to Al quick before he left for work, his Friday!)

 i'm feeling like my belly is a little smaller this week which makes me happy :) i'm making sure to take time to rest and relax and listen when my body says to rest. also trying to eat smaller meals more frequently so as not to feel full. reading back through my blog from when I was pregnant with trevor is very helpful, i'm glad I documented it. the heartburn is the same this week as with trevor, there but not awful just annoying, but it scares me because heartburn is where my sore throat/sickness started  that ended in influenza while in labor. the comparison shot seems pretty similar, bigger this time but not a whole lot this week? and coincidently, i'm wearing the same shirt this week :) did have the Braxton hicks contraction on sunday night so gonna be careful with those.
