2017 :: 36/52 :: Door County

this week we had nice weather so we spent some time outside and also ran errands and packed for our trip to door county with pat, kristy, and billy again.

Friday morning we drove to door county. we stopped in Wausau to see grandpa peter, pee and get lunch, then we also stopped at Maplewood meats just outside green bay for Al. we got to door county, drove to the condo in egg harbor, unloaded our stuff, then went adventuring for a bit until pat, kristy, and billy would be there. we drove further north up the coast since we didn't do that last time; we stopped in the town of Ephraim (Al's middle name), found a beach and a playground there to play at. on the way back to the condo we stopped at a custard place that we'd seen had a playground and we were able to buy popcorn to feed the ducks. once back the dixons were there so the boys played, we unpacked, made supper, and hung out til bed time (early since T didn't nap).

Saturday morning we went to Al Johnson's for breakfast which is a Swedish restaurant with goats on the roof. after that we went to peninsula park and explored for a bit. the boys eventually waded in the water, T got down to his undies since we didn't have a change of clothes with for him. they loved it but the water was chilly. we got to see a really cool, big sail boat out on the water, and the boys loved playing on the playground together. then we went back to the condo for lunch and naps. after nap, we went swimming in their heated pool and hot tub! it was wonderful! we had awesome weather the whole weekend but it didn't get over 73 degrees so it would have been chilly to swim without heated water (the wind was a bit chilly once we were wet). then the Dixon's made dinner, the boys played and watched a movie, then bed time.

sunday morning Al cooked breakfast and Pat got nummy donuts. then we went exploring again, this time to cave point park first where it was beautiful!! the beaches were rocky so the trevor and billy (srevor and biwwy) through rocks in and liked jumping over the logs on the path. then we went to whitefish sand dunes state park where we walked almost a mile to the pet beach since we had their dog, dash with us. the beach was beautiful and the water was wavy which the boys loved. they waded again and ran around until it was time to walk back for lunch. billy fell asleep on the ride home and T was super tired so they napped before lunch. during nap, kristy and I went into town for sandwiches and tea. when the boys woke up, they ate and we went swimming again. for supper everyone but me went for a fish boil (my tummy was hurting and I was stuffed). then the Dixon's packed up and headed out, while we went to bed.

Monday morning we cleaned up, packed, ate breakfast and waited for the sheets to be washed then took off. we stopped at a store i'd been wanting to stop at and they had delicious treats, samples, fudge, and cute décor. we bought some stuff, played outside for a bit then hit the road. we had lunch in Wausau at Panera so we got to see auntie althea, peed at grandpa peter's house then drove the rest of the way home. Al napped in the car, but T and I didn't so we took a nap once home. then I unpacked a bit, and we headed over to eat and watch the Vikings game with matt and the kids.

Tuesday morning our windows got delivered!!! and we all 3 ran to sam's club for groceries. then T and I walked over to Jodi's house to play and then walk down to the bus stop for chloe and kade's first day of 4K then we walked home for nap. we all napped since Al works overnights all this coming week. :(

gah, i'm so much bigger this time around, wish I would have worked on my abs more inbetween and not started this one with a gut....

2017 :: 35/52 :: BabyO week 15

Trevor has been saying some funny phrases at the right time/context like: are you kidding me?, whaaaaat?, what you talking about willis, that's strange, etc. it's so funny and cute and makes me laugh!

Tuesday morning, mom's neighbor Caitlin came over to play with trevor while mom worked so I could go over to manda's new house and help them move in and unpack. I worked over there until 330 and was beat! mom, tyler, trevor and I went out for dinner then T and I drove home. Al was home from work when we got there so he got T ready for bed while I got into bed. I slept from 830p-7am; I was exhausted!

Al was off wed and thurs this week, worked overnight Friday then he was off sat and sun again due to rotation change. wed morning I had a midwife appointment where she found the heartbeat right away (15 weeks)! after I got home, all 3 of us went up to Irvine park again to see the farm animals before they go home for the winter. then lunch, nap and we went to the airport/close restaurant hangar 54 for their wing night. Al and T played outside for a bit while I did the floors, then we finally got to watch cars 3!

Thursday I had graham again for the last day and since Al was off, after breakfast we went out garage saling a bit then to the apple orchard. it just opened last weekend so not everything was ready and they didn't have much for apples but the little boys had fun and we'll definitely be going back. after nap and after graham got picked up, we went out back and flew Trevor's kite for the first time! he's been asking for a while to fly his kite and since it was a beautiful day out and there was a breeze we took it out! he loved it even though we couldn't get it to stay up on it's own but he ran and ran and ran around with it (i'm going to try to attach a video of him doing it, hopefully it works).

Thursday I turned 15 weeks pregnant with baby #2! we haven't told Trevor yet but have told our close family and friends now! due date is February 22nd (was Feb 14th with Trevor); just hoping it's not Feb 4th again!! :) the first trimester I felt awful, the usual nausea all day, not feeling well, fullness after eating, and tired that I had with Trevor. although mom and Al say i'm sick more/worse this time but i'm not sure if that's actually the case or if it's just because i'm home and not distracted by work, and I can't sleep whenever I want this time around with a 3.5 year old. :) this week I have had bad allergies (missing my nasal spray) and some bad headaches. reading back on my blog post of week 15 preggo with T I had the exact same things! i'm going to try to do a comparison photo each week of pregnancy #1 vs #2 but we'll see if I get to it each week :) last time I started taking pictures right at 5 weeks but this is my first belly pic this pregnancy. I think that's both my mental weirdness feeling about this one (thank goodness I've heard the strong heartbeat now!) and that I started this pregnancy bigger than I wanted to; I had wanted to lose some weight first. but I started only 2.5 lbs heavier than I started T's pregnancy at, but my body composition is different from not working out as much and playing less softball. it's hard to tell what of my belly is baby, due to pregnancy #2, or gut... but it's turning hard and I can't suck in much anymore. I've been calling this baby BabyO or baby #2 and Al's been calling it Baby Olaf (instead of T's Baby Ole). :)

Friday we had breakfast with Al then when he was starting to get ready for work, T and I headed out to run some errands, hit some garage sales (we found great books for .25 cents each & some shoes/soccer cleats for T), and then played at a park. the weather was amazing!! i'm hoping this fall weather sticks around for a long time!

Saturday morning mom came down and A was off Sat & Sunday! Saturday was kind of rainy off and on so we did LOTS of projects around the house! during nap time mom and I ran some errands.  sunday morning we got some more projects done then we all drove up to klingers market to play and shop a little bit. then we went to good ol' bloomer for lunch and drove by the old house. then home for nap. after nap mom, T and I went to the beach in Chippewa with matt and the kids while Al mowed the lawn. then home for supper, some uno then bed.

Monday morning we had breakfast, played outside a bit, then went to the animal game park in menomonie with Matt and the kids. we walked around the animal part and nature path, then played at the park, then went to the playground area. we did lunch in menomonie then mom headed back to Minnesota and we headed back home for nap and so Al could get ready for work. it was a great and busy and productive labor day weekend!!
