2017 :: 14/52

this week Al had class/training for leadership for work Monday-Friday 8a-5p (most days he was done early) and the weather was beautiful so we spent lots of time outside and did a lot of yard work. Trevor is very in to helping especially with things around the house and always wants to do the dishes. We got both garden beds dug and chopped up, and we got the entire backyard raked! Trevor and I went to Jodi's to play most mornings this week and we played outside with the kiddos.

Tuesday night, all 3 of us went to wagners for supper with the neighb's and watched Jodi play some sand volleyball there too. we sat in the dome, in the back where they had bags games, large connect four, and some arcade games, so the kids ran around until the food came. it was fun!

Wednesday and Thursday was more outside play and yardwork after nap and once Al was home.

Friday morning trevor and I went garage saling (only stopped at 3 and found some cheap, good clothes for T) and then went over to Jodi's house for Easton's birthday party. they did a craft, had snack, played a game and then we went outside. once outside we didn't want to come in, so we had a picnic lunch and did cupcakes outside! after nap (Al was done with class at 1030) we went to the restaurant at the airport right by our house called Hangar 54 for fish fry with matt, Jodi, cam and chloe. we really liked the restaurant and the fish was delicious! afterwards, they came over for drinks and cookies!

Saturday morning all 3 of us were up early as we had to leave at 730 to go up to mom's so I had time to drop the boys off and head to the once upon a child bag sale in woodbury at 930. I met my cousin Angi and her friend there and we waited in line until it was open. I did better than I thought I would; I went right to the two 5T boy piles and found quite a few good, name brand shirts for Trevor as well as a pair of nice jeans and camo pants. then I went to the shoes and found 2 pair of converse shoes, one for Tula. I also got him a winter coat for next year, a couple vests and some swim wear. I ended up paying 38 cents a piece for 39 pieces (bags were $15, all you can fit in it). after that I ran to the actual once upon a child store and found some (almost too small) sandals for T and one pair of sweat pants. when I was leaving there, I saw Angi outside talking on the phone and we were informed that maren had her baby that morning!! a girl, Georgietta Rose!! I went back to mom's, had lunch, and once T was down for nap, mom and I went to see maren and Etta at the hospital (right by mom's house). she's so cute!!

after nap, mom left for state bowling and the 3 of us went over to shane and Jodi's house for a grill out. we played in their backyard the whole night and had delicious food! their friends' Justin & his daughter Avery (5 weeks younger than T) and Joey & his son Grayson (7) came over too. we had a bonfire too and stayed until 9 pm.

sunday morning we had a lounge day until Tyler and I went to softball practice at 10. Mom, Al and Trevor played/worked outside in mom's backyard while we were gone. softball practice was great and much needed! we had 7 people show up and just hit. then after lunch and once Al had the whole backyard raked, we headed home. We got home just before it rained and put T down for nap, he was out pretty quick. after nap we ran to farm & fleet to get dirt that was on sale, grabbed supper then home to eat it. we then just had a relaxing movie night.

Monday morning, T and I had breakfast, started laundry and did a craft. then Al woke up and Trevor played with Al the whole morning until nap time; Al had to work at 3pm. I got laundry done, cleaning done, and ran to the grocery store. it was a cold rainy day that we kind of needed just to play and get inside things done.

trevor and luke were playing swords with plastic baseball bats (of course) and they ended throwing them at each other resulting in Trevor's first goose egg. it's a pretty blue color.

2017 :: 13/52

on Tuesday, trevor and I drove up to the cities. it was so nice out!! so once we were there, we unpacked at mom's quickly and went over to the big, cool park we like in woodbury. we were there for almost 2 hours! we even walked a little path by there and saw ducks and frogs. then lunch quick and a nap for T. after nap, mom came home from work and we played outside more. we picked up sticks for nana and got out T's turtle sandbox. maren and tula came over so that mom could watch the kids while Maren and I picked out fabric for our next quilt.

Wednesday morning we came home, unpacked then walked over to Jodi's house to play. Wednesday night, Trevor and I went out to eat for supper at monk's with the neighb's since we'd gotten coupons in the mail. Thursday we played at Jodi's for a bit and then at night I cleaned.

this weekend was beautiful outside!!! 50s and 60s! Friday morning we crafted and waited for the weather to warm up, then we went outside and did some work. Al was off work so he worked too. Al shingled the part of our garage roof that blew off, and we put out Trevor's sandbox and my 2 garden beds that Al built. we tried to put some compost dirt into the garden beds but it was still frozen. during nap, I started raking our backyard. Friday night we had a grill out and had Jodi, matt, cam, chloe, Jodi's mom deb, Kassie, jake and kade all over. we played outside until the food was all ready and then went back outside after eating to have a fire. the kids had fun playing in our backyard!

Saturday we had a busy, fun, outdoor day! we left early to go to govin's farm in menomonie for our annual trip to see the farm babies. they were so cute! trevor wasn't interested in holding any of them, and barely pet any of them, but he definitely wanted to watch them/look at them. we got there right when they opened so it wasn't too busy. we went thru the barn twice and looked at the outdoor animals twice. then we decided to go to the little game park that we like in menomonie as well. we walked around, walked thru one of the nature paths we haven't done, and then came back to see the elk. the elk were right by the fence and were so interested in us. they were so close! we came back home, had lunch and Trevor crashed. while he napped I vacuumed out my car completely and then showered. once he fell asleep, we had to wake him up after an hour to go to kade's birthday party. they'd rented a bounce house and there were lots of kids there for T to play with. Trevor mostly played with Luke who goes to daycare at Jodi's house now (and is 4 almost 5). after that we came home to do some more raking and feed trevor supper. we got the whole fenced in part raked and a good portion of the back 40 raked, too. it looked so much better and we would have liked to finish but we were exhausted! we came in, watched a little bit of a movie, and then crashed. or so I thought.

at about 10 pm, trevor was calling for us and then started crying and just as I got in there, he threw up. a lot. I was able to get him in to the bathroom for some of it. he had been complaining on and off all day that his tummy hurt but we'd take him into the bathroom each time and he'd poop a little. he also didn't want to eat much, especially noteable was that he only wanted 2 bites of his piece of cake. he went right back to sleep once we got everything cleaned up and slept until 6 am where he was calling for me. he said he had to poop so I scooped him up and brought him to the bathroom where he went pee and then wanted to go back to bed. he slept until 8 am when I woke him.

sunday it was cloudy and a little rainy out and trevor was weak and pale. I gave him pedialite and water, but he must have drank to much too soon because eventually that came up too. but he was good after that. we just watched movies all day (Al worked 11a-730p in prep for his class again this week). trevor just kind of snacked all day and drank juice and water. he ended up taking a 4 hour nap (I had to wake him at 430) and went down right away for bed time too.

Monday morning, we had breakfast, did a craft, then ran to aldi and target. we dropped off our groceries and then went to Jodi's until nap time. Al has class again this week so 8a-4/5ish!
