2016 :: 28/52

This week we were kinda boring; Al was in the middle of his 12 day work stretch, Jodi had volleyball all day long so her kids were gone, and the weather was either really humid or chilly. I did get T's little pool out one day, we did some crafts, cleaned, ran some errands.

Wednesday night I went out with Jodi, Kassie, and Jodi's mom to cancun for a girls night; it was lots of fun. we had dinner and drinks and stayed for about 3 hours. I left Trevor with Matt and Jake and their kids. at about 8 Matt text Jodi and said they had forgotten Cam's super hero soccer that night at 5 and Cam was devastated. So we ran to the dollar store and got some super hero goodies for him, then we all dressed up in Cam's super hero masks/costumes and went outside to play soccer! it was boys versus girls with Jodi's mom as the ref. :) the boys won. it was so much fun and made Cam so happy. Also, Matt fell in the pool during a kick which had us all crying laughing. Al got home from work just before we got back so he was in on it too.

Thursday morning T and I ran to get some cash and drive by some garage sales. then we picked up Al and went to the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. we walked through all the animals, had some cheese curds and ice cream, and walked around the whole thing. it was nice out, not so hot and humid. then after nap Al had to work 6p-6a so T and I headed up to mom's house.

Friday morning, Trevor and I went over to Angi and Ruby's house for a play date. It was fun; Trevor and Ruby played playdoh, used scooters & bikes outside, played, and had lunch. Then T and I headed back to mom's house for nap. that night we hung out with mom before she left for the cabin for the weekend.

Saturday morning we went shopping; after nap we went over to Manda, Johnny, Eva and Elouise's house to play, have supper and for Johnny to put the hitch on our edge. it was lots of fun; the kiddos swam, supper was delicious, we went for a walk.

Sunday morning we went with Manda, Johnny, E & E to watch my favorite softball tournament, firemen's in Bloomington and get our big mugs for the year. Manda and I would go watch every year and get a mug, but we've missed the last couple years. T had fun and we didn't stay too long before heading home for lunch and nap. I had to wake Trevor up early from nap to get to softball in time since mom didn't make it back from the cabin in time. So my dad watched T at ball until mom got there. we lost, I didn't hit worth crap, but I did turn 2 double plays at 2nd!

then Monday we watched E & E since their daycare's daughter was sick. We went to the Minnesota zoo where it was REALLY hot and humid. luckily there's a splash pad there and indoor activites, so after doing the short outdoor loop to see animals, we hit the splash pad and then shortly after went inside. Mona and her little guy who just turned 2 Ollie met us there. we had a picnic lunch at the zoo then on the way home both E's fell asleep while Trevor talked the whole way. Then El went down for nap right away and slept til 4, while Eva was on the couch, and Trevor was in the pack n play but didn't sleep at all.... we went to mom's for supper once manda was home and then headed back to EC.

Trevor is in a "terrible twos" phase right now which doesn't bode well for me for the next 2 weeks when Al doesn't have a single day off and works some 12 hour shifts/overnight shifts... He's been crying over everything, saying "no" to everything even if he does indeed want it, not listening, hitting, etc. but he's been sleeping a ton (possibly growing too?) we all have since coming back from vacation, Trevor said his name on his own for the first time this week and now says "trevor Oleson" hopefully the video of that works below,

Tuesday afternoon, Grandpa Peter came over and he stayed until the next morning when he headed out to Idaho to visit a buddy for 6 or 7 weeks. He had Trevor help make one of his pot holders, we had pizza over at the neighb's, and then hung out a bit once Al got home from work.

it was awful humid all this week until Friday, so we stayed indoors unless T was out in the sprinkler or slip n slide with the kiddos. We ran to Menards to get some of the stuff on our list for the new house, I went garage saling Thursday and Friday mornings but didn't find too much. Thursday night we had dinner at cancun with the neighb's and jake, Kassie & Kade. Friday we grilled out with the neighb's and were actually able to eat outside since it was cooler and less humid.

it was our last week living next door to the daycare kids (Jodi has volleyball next week so no extra kids) and then next week is our last week with the neighb's right next door. :( so crazy that it's come so fast and that we still have a month before our actual move...

Saturday morning T and I went up to mom's house and then hopped in her car and drove up to Silver Bay for Bay Days. we hit some construction and traffic so it took us a while to get there, but we stopped to play at a rest stop and had lunch just outside of Two Harbers. We stayed with Marion and Ray Burge (my uncle's parents) in Silver Bay and once we got there, Trevor was really tired so he took an hour nap. After nap we walked around tiny Bay Days, played with the rocks at Lake Superior, and went to see GG. then we went back to Marion and Ray's house for a little supper, play time then bed.

Sunday was chilly and a little rainy on the north shore. after a delicious breakfast with Marion and Ray, we packed up, drove around a bit, and went down by the lake again. then we went to GG's place, T and GG had a little lunch, then we took GG down to the parade since she was in the parade as Queen! it was a great little parade and we sat at the very beginning of the parade. Trevor was the only kid around us so he got a TON of candy! he liked the whole parade except the loud fire engine horn. We brought GG back to her place, and hit the road so we could make it back in time for softball. we avoided the traffic/backups and made great time. I played softball at 7 (we won, the other team didn't have enough players, so we mostly just scrimmaged). Monday morning we drove back to ec to see Al before he went to work.
