2015 :: 24/52 The Lake

we had a great time at the lake! trevor did great; he played with all his cousins, waved at everyone, starting running, swam, slept well, etc.

we had multiple days of nice weather and it was awesome! the lake was cold, but not as cold as last year! even the rainy days weren't too bad or too rainy.

we caravanned with mom on the way up so we had to large explorers to pack in and 3 adults + Trevor (Tyler couldn't come this year:( ). luckily, we were able to fit a crib in mom's vehicle for Trevor because he doesn't sleep well in a pack n play. we stopped at the royal bar in park rapids on the way up as usual and met some of the fam there. we picked up fishing licenses and groceries and then headed up to naytahwaush to twin lakes.

we played lots of games, had some adult coloring, swam (there were multiple kiddie pools for Trevor), mom & I skied, we got to paddle board (Al wasn't so fond of it), and played with our family. it was a bit smaller crowd this year, but still lots of us and lots of littles. it was so fun to see the littles playing together!

Trevor was teething one day/night (it seemed like almost all the littles were teething up there), I got sick (cold, sinus, allergies?) one day, mom was sick or allergies when we drove up, others were sick too, and we had some stomach issues thinking due to the water up there, but even with all this it was still a great time!

we had to come back from the lake on Friday because Al had testing Saturday morning, but we stayed up at mom's until after softball on sunday. softball was at 4 and it was hot and humid! we won and mom, trevor & Al all got to come watch. my dad came too! (it was father's day)

we had lots of fun while we were away and were so thankful to have Al off work for that long, but we were happy to get and be home!

2015 :: 23/52

this "week" is gonna be a short one since we leave for vacation on Saturday. so this is just the 4 days leading up to that, then i'll do a whole post just for vacation for next "week."

Trevor: he can say hi, makes the sound of an owl, cow, kitty, and dog, he's working on the 4th molar (still) and all 4 incisors are moving (i'm guessing that's why he's been whiney this week), loves to put mega blocks together and apart and together, eats 3 meals and 1-2 snacks a day (whole milk with meals, water the rest of the day) & nurses just once a day before bed, the toddler picky eater has set in although it's not too bad there is lots he won't eat now, he does try just about everything tho, and loves to use his fork, he can now stab things with his fork and then get it into his mouth on his own,

Monday night there was a missing armed man in eau Claire so Al had to work 7p-7a while lots of his department helped out with that, and he was already forced over 7p-7a Tuesday night (supposed to be his last night of work). he then had range Thursday morning and court Thursday afternoon. uffda, he definitely earned his vacation!

when I was doing our laundry upon our return to eau Claire, I realized that I didn't have his summer clothes out yet. so I pulled out his 18 month bucket and pulled almost all the clothes out, just not the super warm stuff. I washed it all and hung it up; I forgot how much cute stuff he has for summer! I had to try on the basketball jersey outfit right when it came out of the drier. :)

Tuesday was the hottest day yet this year so we played outside. once Al went to bed we ran to the grocery store then played outside with the neighb's until lunch. they played with water balloons so Trevor got one too and just ran around. it was hot already! I set up one of trevor's small pools so that after nap he could go swimming. he loved it! the big kids were using the slip n slide next door so he watched & tried that too.

Wednesday was pretty nice too but got cooler as the day progressed since rain was coming. Trevor swam again but only for a little bit since it was chilly. but i'm happy he still wanted to play because he hasn't previously liked cold water.

Thursday rained all day so we stayed in a packed for the lake. Al had range/training from 7-11a and then he was really done with work!

Friday we finished packing, packed the explorer and headed up to mom's house so that we could take an hour off our travel time for Saturday (it's 4 hours up from mom's house, so would be 5 for us from ec). we also wanted to caravan with mom.
