zumba

last night i went to zumba in the club (a zumba party!) with a bunch of my girls! the amazing zumba instructor awbria led it and there were so many people there! they were estimating about 280. it was held at bogarts in apple valley and bogarts was donating all the proceeds from the night to awbria's 4 year old daughters benefit fund. so in honor of her daughter, analia, everyone tried to wear pink and sparkles (analia's favorite). it was a great success! very fun but exhausting! so many people packed into a small space, dancing, and 1.5 hours of zumba equals one hot place. :)
unfortunately i didn't get pictures of all my girls that came but here are a few before the zumba-ing started. meg, me and gina.
mom, meg and i
gina and i.
meg and i upon getting there, still all bundled up.

twinsies

i haven't done a post on the babies (that are not really babies any more...) in a while. the twins are now 20 months old and are really becoming little people. they are just starting to talk, and they can understand what you say. they laugh and smile all the time and get into everything!! they have tons of teeth and love to do things for themselves. they're also becoming a bit naughty :)

here they are watching their dad outside in the back hoe.

ty is all boy! he loves trucks and tools. and you can just tell he's wishing he could be out there with dave. oh and lola was joining him in the longing to be out there. :]

here's skye's cheese smile and ty's "huh?" look. :) they're so funny!!

is it softball time yet?

i finally got out to the batting cages last night!! got to practice up on my swing and learned a few of the things i am doing wrong. i now feel like i can get some actual power behind the ball (thanks to lon!). next up will be working on hitting the ball on the sweet spot of the bat and hitting in the middle of the ball. it was fun and i got a lot of swings in.

is is mid april yet? :)

charlie (chau-lee)

meet charlie. my boss' little 9 month old whom i get to watch quite often as i work out of her home. he's so cute and a big grunter. :) he's now crawling and pulling himself up on things. and he loves to play with noisy toys and be held; which is a-ok with me!he has 2 top teeth and 3 bottom teeth which makes his smile adorable!!! :) (only half of said smile here)

i just love his hair!! it sticks up and out all over as if it constantly has static electricity in it, but it doesn't. that's just how his hair is. it's actually pretty tame in this picture as i had his cute ear hood up for a while.

one of charlie's new outfits from christmas!!

as for the pronunciation of charlie (chau-lee): i can't say charlie's name normally in my head ever because of this cute video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OBlgSz8sSM and also because charlie's sister, audrey, says it a bit like that as well.

3rd sewing project

here is the 3rd sewing project i did from my online sewing class. i made this a while ago, before winter but hadn't taken pictures of it. it's supposed to be a reusable grocery bag but i use it for many other things. the skills learned in the project were working with larger pieces and "x" joints for stronger straps. i also added my version of a liner to it.
it currently holds magazines that i need to get through (the real simple magazine being my favorite!!) and my inspiration notebook. :)

a quick sew

tonight i got a lil inkling to make protective bags for my ipod and gps for when they're in my purse. 1 of the 3/26 projects i have made from my sewing class was a drawstring bag, so i decided to try mini versions of it. they took me less then an hour and i'm overall pleased with them.
the ipod one will help keep my headphones at bay inside my purse that are usually all over the place in there. and the gps one is more just for keeping all the parts together and for easy transport of it.
i am hoping at some point to make a padded one for my new kindle!!!! :) here they are with the ipod and gps inside.

goals for 2011 - the 27th year

i started this list earlier in december and thought i would try for 27 goals for my 27th year, but before i knew it i was way beyond 27. and that's ok by me; not having a number to get to means i'm not forcing myself to put things in here i don't mean. i really enjoy that they are all fun, easy goals and totally do-able. but at the same time if i don't do them all, it's perfectly fine. this is my kind of goals list: fun and reminders but not diligent. hope you can laugh and smile over them just as i do!! so in no particular order, here are my 96 goals for 2011; join me in some of them, will you?
