wednesday i got to got with on the 4th grade field trip to the ice age trail up in new auburn. we'd been there before to hike but never got to go in the building before. this is usually the snow shoeing field trip that i've been looking forward to but since we have no snow, we didn't get to do that. it was still super fun! my group got to hike first, then learn some stuff & hold the snake, then had lunch outside, then got to do the fun games, then had a scavenger hunt inside the building. the kids were so good! after school, trevor and i went on a bike ride but we didn't last long because it was chilly.
thursday it was SO nice out again! trev had club invention after school since they didn't have school on monday. tova and i played outside the whole time and put away our winter/snow stuff. then Al got home and we all walked down to school to get trev at 5 and continued to play outside!
friday was the usual, school, work, workout at 9am for me. then we started our "yes" weekend for the kids. we had a fish fry and watched basketball at matt & jodi's house. then we all slept over there (the kids are always asking for that!) it was fun but Al and i didn't sleep well.
saturday we hung out in the morning, matt & al made breakfast sandwiches. then we went bowling & played arcade games at bowlwinkles. then went to wagners to have lunch and play in the dome. the adults played bags while the kids played in the sand. then we had a family game of volleyball, girls vs boys. it was so fun. then back to matt & jodi's to watch more basketball and played some games. we got home about 8pm and went right to bed.
sunday was daylight savings so it stayed light out so much longer. Al and i worked out at 9am; i took the kids with me. We stopped at a little park by the river on the way home. then we went home, got Al, and went to check out some other hiking trails we'd found but hadn't hiked yet and loved it! the creek was awesome and so was the weather! the kids had swimming lessons that night.
monday we had Rue, trev had club invention after school, and i went up to mom's house to see my cousin Lucas, his wife Eryn and their kids Raya and Conley from Colorado. i got back home about 8pm.
tuesday it was SO nice and sunny. tova had her 6 year check up and she's great and way above the charts! after school we played outside lots then after supper, Al and i took the kids to a different park.
