2018 :: 4/52

Monday we got a big snow storm where we got 12 inches all day; I was so thankful Al was off work so he could help shovel cuz it was a lot of snow and heavy because it was so warm out. we did the first round of shoveling after nap and had about 7-8 inches at that point. our neighbor mark snowblowed our sidewalk just as we were finishing the driveway so that was awesome!!

Monday night Al went and got Jodi, brought her to our house (since we have 4 wheel drive) so we could watch the bachelor together once Trevor went to bed, and then Al went back to matt's to watch wrestling with him.

Tuesday morning Al had his first chiropractor appointment at 10 am and then had a meeting at work at 2, while Trevor had his siblings class at the hospital at 430. we finally got plowed about 315 so Al had to take the Volkswagen down our non-plowed road to his meeting; it took a while but he did it, guess all those years of driving the izusu paid off. :) I shoveled just enough of the plowed end for us to get vehicles through before getting trevor up from his non-nap to get ready for his class. when we opened the garage to get in the car and go, Mark was just finishing up snowblowing the rest of the end of our driveway and in front of our mailbox so that was nice! we enjoyed trevor's siblings class; we had to bring a doll to practice with. Al came and met us halfway through the class, after his meeting. we started in the classroom, the nurse talked a bit, then we took the dolls and trevor got to practice diapering her, swaddling her, holding her, bottle feeding her, how to touch gently, what toys are safe for her, etc. then we got to go upstairs and tour the maternity ward again which i'm happy to have gotten to do as a refresher. and we got to see 2 babies born the night before! this is where Al met us. then we went back to the classroom for a little movie and cookies. then home for supper and bed for the cranky boy.

Wednesday morning I finished the top of baby girl's quilt so I took it to my quilting lady then went to the grocery store while trevor and Al shoveled the back patio and played outside for a bit. I had a midwife appointment at 340p and Al worked on cleaning/draining our water heater. that night we went to hangar 54 with matt, Jodi, cam, chloe, leah, jedd, Cameron, Elliot, elise, and cole for wing night. we had so many people, they put us in our own room. :) and thank goodness they did, the kids were kinda crazy and there were lots of them. :) it was delicious and a good time but Al came out of there saying 2 kids is enough! :)

Thursday morning I got more things done (really trying to knock out my to do list since 4 weeks til baby feels like nothing!). about 1030 Al and trevor went over to Jodi's to play outside with matt and the kids and they ate lunch over there. Al worked at 3.

Friday, Trevor and I went over to Jodi's house to play after running some errands. we stayed til lunch then home to see Al and nap. Al worked 7p-330a Friday and Saturday. then Friday night we went to a fish fry with a salad bar with matt, Jodi, cam and chloe.

Saturday morning, mom came down. we ran to shopko, then home for lunch and nap. I went to trina's house about 530 for some appetizers, hanging out, and a winter bonfire for her birthday while mom and trevor played. I got home about 10pm; it was a good time and great to see those friends again.

sunday morning we played with nana and I got baby girl's room just about finished; finally got the flowers up that duawn made for her. mom left at naptime; Al worked 11a-730p and then matt came over to watch wrestling with him.

Monday morning I had my first eau Claire chiropractor appointment and adjustment, and it was much needed. hoping to get my right hip more in line before labor!! I ran and picked up baby girl's quilt (hopefully I can finish/bind it before she gets here), grabbed milk, ran to joann quick and then home for lunch and nap. Trevor has actually been napping pretty good (so I usually nap too) and eating a ton; think he's growing! after nap we did some crafts (he's loving his preschool workbook and cutting), ate supper then watched a movie.

lots of prep for baby girl coming (washed all her clothes and blankets and stuff) and for trevor's golden birthday next weekend!! can't believe he's just about 4!! didn't take many pictures this week.

 baby girl's bunny/floral room is pretty much done other than we're leaving the bed in there for 2-3 months until she's ready for the crib. 

36 week comparison

peeing a ton now, she must be moving down a bit. 31 pound gain (30 with trevor at this point). napping pretty much daily. finally got to the chiro so hopefully my hips and neck will start to feel better, and maybe i'll be a little more comfortable to sleep. quite a few new stretch marks, small ones. 

2018 :: 3/52

since Al was in Wisconsin dells for leadership training Monday afternoon thru Thursday afternoon, Trevor and I went up to the cities on Tuesday morning. we did a little shopping then went to mom's house for nap (he didn't nap) and then went to maren's house for family dinner. Trevor and Tula had lots of fun playing, we ordered pizza, mom came too from work, and nick came home after we ate.

Wednesday morning Trevor and I had a little playdate with gina and cal at gleason's gymnastic's center which the boys had fun at. then we went back to their house for a little more play time and lunch before heading home.

Thursday morning we went over to jenny's house for much needed haircuts and Trevor got to play with Kourtlyn and I got to snuggle baby Klare a little bit. we headed home after an early lunch for nap and Al got home about 330. We played outside for a bit after no-nap time since it was so nice out! that night we went to cancun for supper with the neighb's.

Friday morning T and I went to the indoor sports center with jenny, Kourtlyn and baby Klare before running to once upon a child and joann fabrics. then home for lunch with Al before nap. Al worked overnight Friday and Saturday night then 11a-730p on sunday then was off.

Saturday morning, Trevor and I did some things around the house, then walked to the park since it was so nice out. then home for lunch and reading books with Al once he was awake. then I napped but trevor didn't. I got him up at 330p so he could go outside with Al and build a snowman, which they finally got to do/the snow was finally right for it. then once Al started getting ready for work, T and I went over to matt & Jodi's. we had supper over their and the kids did the perler beads that we gave chloe for Christmas for like an hour! then had a rough leaving/ride home/bed time since we stayed a little too late and since T didn't nap.

sunday Al worked 11a-730p and the Vikings played at 530p; they lost horribly the game before the super bowl that is gonna be played in Minnesota. :(

2018 :: 2/52

Tuesday morning I had another midwife appointment and Al was still off work so he stayed home with Trevor. I have one more 2 week appointment then I go to every week; so crazy. only about 6 weeks left!! the appointment was good; I gained no weight (finally! thank goodness Christmas cookie season is over!), baby's heartbeat was high again 160 then went down to 150s, she's head down already hopefully she stays that way, and is facing sideways so we're hoping she faces back by labor time to try to avoid back labor this time! my blood pressure is still really good. next appointment will be my group b strep test and that's the last test before baby. i'm thinking they'll start checking me at appointments again too. after my appointment I ran some errands by myself including going to target! once I got home, Al and Trevor were playing outside since it was still 30s and nice out! so I joined them outside for a while and it was great!

Wednesday morning Trevor had his first dental appointment. he did great!! they kind of feel the kid out on the first appointment and don't always get everything or anything done, but they did everything they needed to with him! xrays, cleaning, polishing, exam with the dentist and he did great and even answered their questions! afterwards we came home and rode his bike around the neighborhood before it snowed and got cold again. Al worked overnight.

Thursday early morning it rained, then the temp dropped and then it started to snow shortly after we got up. we eventually got about 2.5 inches of snow, so after naptime (in which T didn't nap even after a rough morning, very 3 year old) and after 1 Trevor show, we went outside to shovel, bring in the garbage can/recycling bin, and get the mail. it was super windy and cold but we got it done (felt hard for me due to being 34 weeks pregnant). then in for supper, a movie and bed time.

Friday morning we went to the toddler time at the newly renovated water park here in town with Jodi, chloe, graham, robin, Amaya, jake, kade and Kinsley. it was so much fun, nice and warm and cheap! we'll definitely do that again! they had a big kid area and then a smaller 4 foot pool that had some lily pad things in one part which trevor loved jumping across them.

Friday night Al worked until 8 and brohmer came up about 730p. Saturday was Al (and Brohmer's) alumni track meet at noon. mom came down Saturday morning and we went to watch it. Al threw really well in both weight and shot put; better than he has in years! then we had a late lunch and Trevor napped 330-430. Al and Brohmer came home until their party at 7p and they stayed out til 230am.... Mom, Trevor and I stayed in and warmed up; it was freezing outside!

sunday mom left in the morning as it started snowing and didn't stop until Monday night. we watched the Vikings playoff game at home (brohmer left right before the game) and we snuck out a win!! it was a great ending!

Monday morning, Trevor and Al shoveled the driveway, ran to matt & Jodi's quick and then picked up lunch while I worked around the house and finished pricing/tagging all the consignment sale clothes of Trevor's that i'm going to sell! then during nap, Al got a call that his boss was on his way over to pick him up for his leadership training in the dells until Thursday.

I've been thankful that baby girl is still pretty high since I don't have to get up in the middle of the night to pee, but I feel like I can see that in this comparison picture. having to take my heartburn medicine every night, lower back is hurting when I wake up now, but still feeling pretty good. hit me hard to say we have 6 weeks left; that feels like no time at all... I have so much I want to do and don't know if i'm (or Trevor is) ready for 2 kids.

it's weird/cool to read about my pregnancy each week with trevor and compare; they're so similar! like I haven't wanted/craved ice cream much at all but this week had to have some and that's exactly what I said at 34 weeks with trevor. I started my hospital bag this week too same as with T.

I have my first, new stretch marks... they're small but there, ugh, was hoping for no new ones. I've been trying to remember to use my belly oil (from Al's cousin Jenny, she makes it) every day but sometimes forget.
