i really enjoy looking at weheartit.com in my down time and seeing cute pictures. i have a whole folder entitled cute for pix that make me smile; so here are a few!

i love miniature things!! like really love em!! i don't really know why but i'm sure part of it stems from my grama who also loved and collected small things!! this little fruit tray is so cute!

my new love

i have been looking for black and white rainboots for a while now. and i finally found them!! i'm so excited and i even pulled them out a bit early and wore them today!!! eek!! i love them soooo sooo sooooo much!! they are so rubbery and comfy and a lil awkward but they are by far my favorites right now!! adding to my slight obsession with boots! this may just call for a boots special post in the near future... :]

loving all the sunshine lately and soon it will be spring and the perfect time for my rainboots!!

i got to babysit this little 2 year old munchkin for the first time recently and boy is he cute!! i had played with him before at gatherings but hadn't gotten a hole lot of time with him. i adore him! he is always smiling!! and even the few times he's not, he's so easily made to smile. he's of course a very active boy, being 2 years old, but he's soooo good and cute!! he can play by himself or would love for you to join him. man, i could go on and on about this little one but i'll let you get to the pictures, which were hard to snap of such an active little one and they don't really depict his true cuteness and smiley self as well as i wanted them to but they're still cute!!

i got to accompany my cousin maren rae and her wonderfully joyful golden retriever puppy, wally to the dog park! wally is over a year but still very playfully puppy!! he's so cute and so active! he has a blast at the puppy park walking (well usually running) around and playing with others. it was a beautiful day so i snapped some pix! wrestling with his buddies!! (he's not anywhere near as vicious as this picture makes him look :])

giraffes galore!

anyone who has been to our house and/or knows my mom, has found out first hand how much she loves giraffes! she has a TON of them!! so i decided to do a first installment of "giraffe's galore" showcasing some of the cutest and coolest giraffe stuff she has. and trust me, if i wanted to i could do a few hundred posts on this subject... :]

these guys are adorable!! they sit just in the entrance way into the kitchen so i see them smiling at me all the time!

veggie tales

i have recently become obsessed with steamed veggies!! i love vegetables to begin with but also love ranch dressing so i tend to smother my raw veggies in dressing thus defeating the real purpose of eating them in the first place. but after steaming and trying my first batch of veggies (real carrots and cauliflower) a couple of weeks ago, i realized how delicious they are. there is so much flavor to them that i can easily eat them with nothing on em!!! yay!! i decided to do another round (but forgot i wanted to try zuccini too... next time!); this time i added broccoli to the mix. now i have 3 large tubs full of delectable steamed veggies for the week!!

as i also have a love/obsession with gina's nice cameras, i took a few shots in hoping of figuring out some cool angles. this is what i got... (blogger likes to rotate some on me.)

i had a cucumber too but i didn't steam that; don't know if that would be good or not...???

all cut up and ready to go!

i had forgotten how much i love and how much better "real" carrots taste. i used to eat em straight out of my grandparent's garden when i was younger but have since been used to eating baby carrots. they just are not the same! mmmm... makes my mouth water!! plus i loved the texture of them for a photo :)

so happy to have a fridge full of veggies for the week! and so is my body and my diet! :)

little eva

i finally got a chance to take pictures of the newest little softball player! this is eva; daughter to my good buddies amanda and johnny. she's so cute and such a good baby! so long and skinny! she is 6 weeks old here.

her little mouth and chin are adorable especially when she's sleeping! what a sweet baby!sticking out her little tongue!
