2024 :: 2/52

 wednesday was school for kids, work for Al, payroll day for me, i went to jodi's house during lunch time while matt & jodi took their dog Harley to be put down. :( then after school, trevor had to shoot 100 free throws for a fundraiser for his basketball team. he made 31/100 pretty good for a first timer/4th grader. 

thursday was the usual, school, work, workout, and basketball after school.

friday i worked out at 9am and then the kids had an early release from school due to a snow storm so i walked to get them at 140pm. 

saturday was trevor's first ever basketball tournament in fall creek. they won the first of 3 games, then lost the next 2. it was a fun little tourney, all in one building, concession stands, games inbetween with team mates. we were home by 4pm. then after supper, Al went to the alumni track meet get together until 1030. 

sunday i worked out at 9am, then we worked/played downstairs a bunch. then we watched football. 

monday was no school due to martin luther king jr day. Al worked. we had brooklyn and cam here in the afternoon while nikki worked out.

wednesday was back to school for this kids. i worked out at 9. 

thursday was school and trev had basketball practice. 

friday was the same and then i went to the gym for a little get together to give the trainers their christmas gift cards. 

saturday we did finally get some snow. we shoveled the little bit and then walked to gpa peter's house to shovel his driveway since it was just a little bit and not enough for him to get his snow blower out.  

sunday my heart flutters came back so monday i started figuring out what cardiologist i could get into the quickest. i worked out and we watched football. 

monday Al had PT and an appointment with his surgeon; moving along still. i worked at jodi's and did payroll as usual. 

tuesday we had Rue, i worked at jodi's 9-12, then i had an appointment with a cardiology nurse practitioner at 1pm. she ordered another EKG in which i was able to get my heart to flutter during and she heard my flutter too. she figured it is likely the extra heart beat but to be sure, and to know how to proceed (meds, surgery, etc?) that she wanted me to get an echocardiogram and a 7 day heart monitor. they needed to get that all approved via insurance before we could schedule it. so they told me it would be probably a week before they'd call to schedule. then i worked out at 530. then we picked up cole and brought him to trev's basketball practice too.

 On wednesday, i had an appointment to get my heart flutters checked. I took the kids to brooklyn & cam's house while i did that and they were so excited to see their house. they did an EKG but didn't see anything (i didn't have a flutter during it.) then the doctor listened to my heart and i had a flutter that she heard. she said it was likely an electic pulse at a different spot in my heart than the usual spot (an extra heart beat.) she referred me to a cardiologist. that night we had dinner with the risens. 

thursday we just hung out at home and played some games. kids played with some of their christmas presents. 

friday the kids and i drove to the cities. we met auntie jodi, luke and henrik at willow river tap house for lunch then hiked at willow river state park. it was SO nice out; we were eventually in just sweatshirts on December 29th in wisconsin. we stayed for a long time and did lots of exploring and playing. then we all headed to my mom's house where the kids played some more and we had supper before jodi, luke and henrik headed home. we stayed at mom's house and came home on saturday since Al worked a bit on saturday. 

sunday was new years day and the vikings played the packers at 7pm. we went to matt & jodi's house for games and then watching the game. the vikings lost bad but we had fun. we stayed for the whole game but were home before midnight. 

the kids were off school monday and tuesday. monday we just went to the gym and stayed home. 

tuesday we went to carson park with jodi and her kids & daycare kids. it was cold but good to get the kids out playing.
