2021 :: 29/52

 tuesday the kids and i did some errands before tova's outdoor activities class. then afterwards, we went to the library so trevor could turn in his book chart that he completed. his prize was a 'to keep' book that he got to pick out. the kids also picked out a bunch of books to checkout from the library. 

wednesday i had carsyn; she was a little unsure about being without jodi or matt but did pretty good! she came with me to tova's outdoor activities class and she did great. al and trevor went to grandpa peter's house while we were gone. then i took to the girls to a park and then back home for nap. during nap, i took trevor to his karate and matt had come to get carsyn before we got home.

thursday i had carsyn again. it was tova's last day of class and it was water day! all 5 of us loaded up in the car, found a couple garage sales then went to tova's class. she didn't really get wet but she had fun. then after we stopped at a couple of garage sales before heading home for lunch. matt came and got carsyn after lunch. shane was in town for a football camp so he came over after that was done. matt, jodi and the kids came over for supper. and mom came down for trevor's soccer game so we had a full house for supper. then mom, the kids and i took off for trevor's soccer game and the risens left for chloe's soccer game. trevor got to play his bestie, liam's team and he scored 2 goals!! after soccer mom went home, and jodi came over to hang out with us and shane. then jodi, shane and i went to the vfw for some drinks since Al had to work the next morning. 

friday morning shane left and jodi dropped off all 3 of her kids for me to watch. we tried to play outside for a bit but it was too hot & humid. the kids played some games and painted; they also got tattoos. matt came to get them after lunch. 

saturday morning the kids and i packed up and went up to mom's house. we just hung around mom's house all day saturday. 

sunday afternoon, trevor and i went to luke's olympic themed birthday party and then stayed for supper. it was a fun birthday party! 

monday morning we headed home to see Al and to do laundry and pack for our almost full week at uncle jimmy's cabin with matt, jodi and the kids.

 Tuesday we had Graham again 8-3, tova had soccer at 10 again, i had to pick up camdyn from golf at noon and bring him home, and trevor had soccer at 545. tova and Al came to soccer and we got ice cream afterwards. 

wednesday was our last day with graham or any kids this week; i had graham 740-415. Al started back to work for a 7 day stretch due to rock fest. tova had basketball at 10, trevor had karate at 145. wednesday night we did wings with the neighb's at their house and brought some home for Al. 

thursday tova had basketball again and trevor was playing under the bleachers (where there's sidewalks) as the big kids had been doing all week. he was sitting on a railing and trying to scooch sideways. he lost his balance, fell backwards and hit his head really hard on the metal support beam on the side. it was so loud of a hit that everyone in the area stopped what they were doing and looked over and gasped. he had quite the bump but seemed ok. once we were in the car he said he was really tired and was looking around like his vision was weird. so i called the nurses line at our pediatricians office and while i was on hold, he fell asleep in the car which he doesn't do. so we were instructed to go to the ER. trevor, tova and i headed right to the ER and sat in the waiting area for almost 2 hours. Al did leave work and come get Tova about an hour in so she could eat lunch and nap. we saw the doctor for about 5 minutes adn after looking him over and having him do some tests, she said he was good to go. we were just supposed to watch for any new symptoms and he couldn't go to soccer until after the weekend. and we were instructed to give his brain lots of rest and not to put him in positions to hit his head again over the weekend. 

friday was a low key day. we did have matt, camdyn and carsyn over for dinner but they didn't stay for long as we all had lots to do. Al worked 3p-3a at rock fest. 

saturday morning, the kids and i headed up to the cities. our first stop was at my dad's where unc-o came too, to pick raspberries. we also played bags and hung out for a bit. then we went to mom's for lunch. during naptime, i got to go to the big fireman's softball tournament with manda for the first time in a couple years and it was fun but hot. we got our big beer mugs. then back to mom's for supper. after bedtime, i went back to manda's house to swim and hang out for a bit. Al worked 3p-3a again at rock fest.

sunday morning we went to my cousin aryn's house to swim. the kids had fun; trevor wasn't allowed to jump into the pool but he still had fun. tova jumped off the diving board for the first time and is really a little fish now. then back to mom's for lunch and nap time. after nap, we headed home. 

monday was my last day having graham; tova had her outdoor & water activities class at 10, and trevor had karate at 145. after tova's class we went out back and the boys ran through the sprinkler and tova played at the water table.

 tuesday it rained so we stayed inside doing games and crafts and reading. then trevor had soccer but it quit raining for his game. he scored his first goal and got to play goalie and had fun! tova came with and did really good during the game! 

wednesday i left after lunch to head up to mom's house. i stopped in river falls at 2 thrift stores and drove through the college campus which looks very different than when i went there. then i went to mom's and read in the piece and quiet until it was time to meet my softball ladies for a dinner get together at kim's house. it was fun and we ordered delicious food! i left there about 830 and headed to axel's where my cousin maren was bartending and my brother was there with the girl he's been dating. i ended up hanging out with maren even after the restaurant closed and then went back to mom's to sleep. 

i was up early the next morning and pulled the boat home. once home, Al put the boat in the garage then we went garage saling. trevor had a soccer game again at 645 and Al and Tova came along. 

friday i had cam, chloe and carsyn here for the morning since jodi started volleyball camps and matt was working. we had fun but carsyn cried for a bit and clung to chloe; she's a homebody and growing up during covid she's not used to being away from matt or jodi. but she warmed up and we had a good morning and lunch. 

saturday morning after a slow, relaxing start we went over to trevor's school bestie, Liam's house to play and picked raspberries that line their long driveway. it was fun and the kids played well. we came home for nap, then ran to the grocery store quick, then went back to cassie, liam and elliot's house for supper, a fire, play time, and to have the raspberries we picked over vanilla ice cream. it was a good night!

sunday morning, the kids and i ran our cans up to trevor's school, recycled the plastic bags, and returned our library books before going to camdyn's baseball game. 

monday started our busy couple of weeks. we had graham here 830-4 since jodi's got camp for 2 weeks, tova started her first week long camp which was soccer at 10 am (Al stayed home with graham and trevor). tova did great and got right out there running and kicking the ball, was a good listener, and had fun! then trevor had his first karate class at 145 and he really liked that. the kids really enjoyed having graham here; i think they might have overwhelmed him a bit because they both wanted to play with him. Al grilled brats and hot dogs for supper!
