tuesday Al was supposed to be off but he had training 8a-12p. trev had school and Tova and i went to jodi's.
wednesday Al left for a conference in Stevens Point until thursday evening. i had to drop off my consignment sale stuff at 1pm so Jackie next door came over to sit with the kids while i did that. Trevor did his school work and had his meeting at 2pm. Trevor and Jackie had fun playing puzzles and making bracelets while i was gone.
thursday Tova and i went garage saling after dropping Trevor off at school but we didn't find much. Al got home about 6pm that night and i went to shop my consignment sale at 7; didn't find a lot but got a couple things for each kid.
Friday we packed up and headed north. we stopped in bloomer for gas and at a couple of garage sales before heading up to the north shore. we picked up lunch in superior then met nana in duluth to pick rocks and eat. then we headed to explore two harbors. we found a goodwill, a lighthouse we could walk out to on a cement "dock" which was cool (we'd never done that), fed seagulls, and hiked a bit. then we went to superior shores, the condo that we stay in every year, unpacked and got supper in the oven. then we went out to the beach there and picked rocks and the sun even came out for a while. then back to the condo for supper and relaxing before bedtime for the kids. then Al, nana, and i played games until our bedtime.
saturday morning we woke up to snow on the ground and it snowing. we ate breakfast, then went swimming for a while which the kids loved! then back to shower, dress and head out to silver bay. we did lunch in silver bay, went to see my grandma's grave, and checked out a couple other places up there. on the way back we drove through split rock lighthouse park, stopped at the wayside that you can see the lighthouse from, stopped at the agate store in beaver bay where the kids got to get little bags full of polished rocks, and went to Iona Beach park which we've never been. we hiked a little bit and found some cool places and little beaches to check out. once we were back at superior shores, mom's friend Lou and her husband Scott (who own the condo) came by to say hi and stayed for a while. we ordered pizza and chatted with them. then Al and i took the kids to the beach and playground again for a bit before bedtime. Lou and Scott left just before bedtime for the kids and mom, Al and i stayed up playing fast track again.
sunday morning we ate breakfast, swam again, got all packed up, went to the beach at superior shores again and then headed out. we grabbed lunch in duluth and then stopped by Amnicon Falls state park on the wisconsin side and it was gorgeous! we were all pretty tired so luckily the water and waterfalls were very close to the road and parking areas. we had fun. then we took a backroad home and it was all just trees. we went through Hayward and stopped at the candy store. we drove by the cabin we're staying at in may with teh risens, the cabin we stayed at in february for ice fishing, and grandma DD and grandpa Rick's place in rice lake. once home we unpacked and relaxed.
monday Al was back to work, Trev to school, and Tova and i to jodi's. i got my 2nd vaccine shot at 1 pm while jackie stayed with napping tova. after school pickup, i took the kids to jodi's so i could run and grab my stuff from teh consignment sale. i made the most i've ever made and hardly had anything come back!!
