Tuesday was super cold out so we drove trev to school again before heading to jodi's house. the kids played "nap time" after school and hung out in my bed while trevor read books to tova. it was so cute and easy for me; love when they get along!
wednesday Al was off. in the morning, after breakfast and after trevor got his math worksheets done, we headed to our favorite thrift store in durand (a half hour drive.) the kids picked out a toy each and a couple books each (they're super cheap) and Al found a bunch of stuff to sell. then we headed home for lunch, trevor's ipad school stuff and class meeting.
thursday Tova woke up with a fever so i brought her in to get a covid test since we had weekend plans (just to be sure.) she was a champ about it and it was a pretty easy process. tova got a sticker and said the lady took some of her boogers. :) we found out after school pickup that she was negative. Tova was fine when medicine kept her fever down but the second it wore off and the fever came back she didn't feel good.
friday morning tova was fever free without meds after she woke up. Al worked and he ended up tripping in a ditch while working and messing up his ankle. he was limping on it and once he took his boot off at home it swelled up pretty good. so we just hung out at home on friday and friday night.
saturday morning mom came down. we played games and such all morning. Al worked even with his limping and was pretty miserable on it. after supper, Al and i went over to jake & kassie's neighbor's garage bar (just a half mile from our house) along with jake, kassie, matt, jodi, emily, joe, josh and kayla. we had an adults night "out" and we had so much fun! we played some games, did a white elephant gift exchange, had a bonfire in the snow (it started snowing about 6ish), sang some karoake, and had a great time with lots of laughs! we didn't get home until after 2am.
sunday morning mom and i took the kids outside to shovel and mom kept them outside to play. we got about 3 inches which was greatly needed since we hardly had any snow left. mom left at nap time (we all napped at nap time) and then we watched the packers playoff game.
monday was school for trev, jodi's for tova and me, and Al went to the doctor for his ankle and found out he fractured his fibula on the bottom of it so he'll be working from home for a while until it heals and he gets clearance to return. it's his right ankle so he can't drive with his air boot on.
