monday and tuesday were trevor's last 2 days of school for the year and my 2 last days of work for the year and Al's last 2 days of work until after christmas. monday was pj day at jodi's and tova and i ran some things over to grandpa peter at the hospital (he went in last week for a blood clot in his lung and then it turned into blood in his urine.) it snowed a little bit monday but didn't stick.
Tuesday trevor had pajama day and some special things at school like a movie and hot cocoa for the holidays. it was the daycare christmas party at jodi's. we did christmas crafts, books, snack, and passed out presents.
wednesday we all were home and preparing for christmas and heading up to mom's house the next day. it rained in the morning and then snowed at night which meant ice in between. grandpa peter finally came home so during tova's nap, al and trevor went to see him. right at dark we hopped in the car (no precipitation at that point) and followed matt, jodi & the kids around looking at all the cool christmas lights, some set to christmas music. we were out about an hour then it started raining so we came back to our house and got wings from hangar 54. i let all 5 kids open one present since i had so many for cam, chloe and carsyn (mostly garage sale purchases) and they loved their presents and opened them right away. they were mostly crafty stuff and kept them entertained for quite a while!
thursday morning auntie althea drove up but the roads were pretty slippery so she didn't get here until 1ish. we had lunch with grandpa peter here and then did presents when althea got here. we packed up and headed to mom's house at 230. the roads were still a little icey in spots so we took it slow. thursday was christmas eve. we got to mom's, unpacked, ate supper and then headed to my cousin aryn's house for the warnke side christmas. it was just aryn, tyler, camden (5 weeks older than tova), aunt cindy, uncle rich, my dad, my brother, and uncle munk and debbie. we had fun, played some games and Al played ping pong. then while they did presents, we brought the kids back to mom's and put them to bed. at 830ish al and i went back to aryn's house (just a couple blocks from mom's house) and played ping pong. it was fun but we stayed up too late.
friday was christmas day. we stayed in our pjs and did stockings and opened presents with nana and unc-o. during nap trevor took his new snowboard he got outside and rode it down nana's hills (both on the street and in her yard.) it was still pretty cold so we didn't last long out there. after nap, we went over to my dad's house to exchange gifts and to play some cribbage. then back to nana's house for supper and games.
saturday morning we headed home once we got all packed up. we were all pretty tired so we played with some of our new toys, watched christmas shows and went to bed early.
Al had to work on sunday so the kids and i played with new stuff, put stuff away, cleaned, did laundry, and relaxed.
