sunday Al worked and the kids and I went up to the cities after nap for softball. softball ended up being cancelled just as we walked to the fields due to rain.
Monday morning we headed home. grandma DD and grandpa Rick came over for supper, trevor had soccer 4-450p, then we ate. Gma DD brought bluegills that she fried up for us again and they were just as good as we remembered them being!! it was still pretty rainy and colder out so we just hung out until bedtime.
Tuesday morning trevor had wrestling at 930; Al stayed home with Tova. we just hung out at home the rest of the day/night since it was Al's last day off until sunday.
Wednesday morning was some cleaning/picking up and then tova was really whiney/crying. al woke up just before we were getting ready to leave, so he kept tova home with him while trevor and I went to carson park with Jodi and the kids for play and a picnic.
Thursday was the day our attic insulation was getting replaced so we had to be out of the house from 8a-3p-ish. they ended up showing up early at 730 so I had to get the kids up, fed, dressed and out the door quickly. we ran to target, did a little garage saling with Jodi and the kids, then we met grandma DD and grandpa Rick in the way back of our backyard. they are parking their truck there while they're in Alaska and we brought them to their shuttle. Al slept at grandpa peter's house when he got off work at 3a. then the kids and I went to Jodi's house for lunch, nap for the babies, craft and play time for the big kids, and Al came over for a bit before lunch to see the kids. they got done with the insulation about 330 so the kids and I headed home at 4. it rained shortly before that so it had cooled off and I was able to open the windows to get the little bit of fumes out. after about an hour, we went back to matt & Jodi's for supper.
Friday morning after some packing, cleaning and eating, the kids and I drove up to mom's house. I had a bachelorette party that night for one of my high school friends. mona picked me up about 5p and we got back about 1230am. we went for a drink, dinner and then back to the hotel where the other girls were staying the night. we played some games and reminisced a bit and it was a good time!
Saturday morning we had Cal's 5th birthday party; we brought mom with us since she knows matt & gina too and to help with the kids (and she was very much needed!) it was a Jurassic park themed party and it was very fun! tova loved the helium balloons, little jeep, and made a dinosaur bff. trevor loved the bounce house, squirt guns, prizes and the dino (Gina's brother in law in costume) running. it was super hot on Saturday and we were gonna drive home after tova's nap, but I decided to stay until the morning. Saturday night after the kids were in bed, I went over with my brother to see my cousin Aryn and her husband, Tyler's new house (a couple blocks away from mom's house.) my high school friend Adam was there along with 2 other friends of theirs. we played a bunch of ping pong and then went in the pool after dark. it was fun but another late night.
sunday morning, we ate, packed up and headed home. Al got up during nap time after working 2 hot days at country fest. it rained/stormed a bunch but we were able to go outside for a bit to clean up the garage and kids bikes that were covered in a little coating of insulation. the kids splashed in puddles, rode bikes, and trevor figured out his new scooter. then we came in for baths, dinner, and play time until bed.
