tova is so smiley! she loves faces and will smile at just about anyone (as long as she's not tired). for most of her naps, she wakes up crying after 45 minutes. :( she's usually get one 2 hour nap in the afternoon but wakes up after 45 minutes with that one too and needs to be moved to her swing to finish the nap. she only nurses for an average of 7 minutes which is not very long (we go in next Tuesday for her 2 month, hopefully she's gaining well; i think she is, she's a big girl). she has started really seeing her toys and even batting at them from time to time. she loves to kick! and stretch. she loves her brother! she also likes to hold on to blankets or my shirt. she is no longer taking any medication (for acid reflux or gas) just vitamin D and probiotics. she took a bottle from Al great again this week!
Monday was the warmest, sunniest day we've had in a long long time! after breakfast, i loaded up the stroller and we walked over to Jodi's house to play outside. we stayed there until lunch time! trevor had lots of fun with his friends and tova did pretty good even though she wouldn't nap for more than a half hour. then we walked back, had lunch, Al got up, and both kids went down for naps. Al didn't have to work until 8pm so i got to go without kids to pick up my consignment stuff & check.
Tuesday morning, the kids and i drove up to the cities early to attend my great uncle Rufus's funeral. we went to mom's first, fed tova, got us all dressed and then went over there. it was a sad reason to get together but nice that tova got to meet lots of family on my dad's side. my great aunt judy looks and sounds a lot like my grama, and the minute tova saw/heard aunt judy, she smiled. :) it made me so happy. then back to mom's for nap and we had pizza supper with unc-o, too.
Wednesday morning the kids and i went to the big park in woodbury but tova wouldn't stop crying so we didn't stay long. then back to mom's to feed tova, pack up, and then we headed home. we had lunch and nap, and Al helped matt move their new swing set to their house. after nap, we went out in the backyard (tova was sleeping) and ended up raking/sweeping the leaves in the whole back yard. trevor ate his supper outside, both kids got bathed, and then i went out to dinner for a girls night with Jodi and jenny. we went to olive garden and it was nice to eat slowly, eat hot food, and have full conversations (even if most of the conversations were about our kids).
Thursday morning i went garage saling for a bit, then came home for lunch then met Jodi and jenny for more garage saling. after nap (trevor didn't nap) Al and trevor went grocery shopping. once they were home, the kids and i walked over to matt & Jodi's while Al made our salad then drove over for supper. we had brats and hot dogs on the grill and had a good time until after 7 when tova was crying and didn't want to eat, and trevor was outside playing & didn't make it to the bathroom and pooped in his undies for the very first time. so we headed home, got both kids to bed quickly (they were both out almost instantly), then Al went back to matt's to watch the football draft.
Al had to work Fri-Sunday and i had Cam and Chloe Friday morning. we ate breakfast, got dressed and then walked cam to school. then we came back to play for a bit before going to a park with jenny, kourtlyn and klare (jenny came and picked up chloe since i don't have enough seats in my vehicle). we found a new park that had an outdoor exercise place next to it! it was fun and pretty nice out although windy and tova did great in the carrier this time, slept the whole time (klare was in a carrier too) then home for lunch and jake came to get chloe to bring her to the bus.
Saturday morning mom came down. after getting tova down for a nap, i went garage saling again but didn't find much. then it was time for lunch and nap. trevor didn't nap but that's ok because we had to get him up at 230 to go to kade and Kinsley's birthday party at 3. tova didn't sleep much all morning and only slept about 15 minutes of the 2 hours we were at the party. the party was fun and the weather was warm but still windy. they had a bounce house and we played outside most of the time. then home for tova to get a good nap in.
sunday morning after breakfast, getting dressed and getting tova down, mom, trevor and i went outside in the backyard to play and get some things done. it was nice out! we got a lot of the plant stuff done that i wanted to including getting rid of some of the huge chives plants and some of our 13 rhubarb plants. trevor loved helping; i think he's really gonna love gardening with me this summer! mom left before lunch and both kids took a good nap. we saw Al for all of like an hour (and he took a work call during that time) before he went to work. :( sunday night tova only took a couple 30 minute naps but trevor and i were able to make/cook some of the meals i had planned for the last week but hadn't had a chance to make at meal times. so now we have some leftovers for next week.
