Tova: took her first steps behind a walker toy this week and went completely across the room, says trevor now (sounds like ev-a), she loves drinking water out of a sippy cup or cup,
Monday morning we hung out at mom's house with unc-o and waited for Al to get there. He got there about 2ish and then the 4 of us went over to my dad's house for the warnke Christmas. my cousin Aryn has my kids' only cousin on that side, Camden who is 5 weeks older than Tova. it was fun to see the babies together even though they both had ear infections and didn't feel great. then once it was time for tova's nap, Al ran her back to mom's house to lay her down (it's 3 miles away.) I went back to mom's every 3 hours to feed Tova but mom kept her there the rest of the night. we played lots of ping pong, even trevor got to play lots with auntie lynne. we played a couple tournaments and tyler and I won one. we brought Trevor back to mom's about 9pm, put him to bed, and then went back to dad's for some catch phrase in which we laughed a ton!
Tuesday was Christmas and we just relaxed at mom's in our pj's all day (which was much needed!) we all took a nap, opened presents (favs were trevor's huge arctic legos he wanted from unc-o and Tova's train from nana and Al and I got fancy yeti coffee mugs.) we had monkey bread for breakfast, ham and potatoes for supper, and the adults played games once the kids were in bed (Trevor didn't fall asleep til 11pm....)
Wednesday morning we packed up and drove home. then we opened stockings from santa, tova napped, opened some presents, unpacked, cleaned and played. (Al had this whole week off, Monday to sunday)
Thursday we had our Christmas with grandpa peter; he made a turkey and we made the sides. we did lunch. auntie althea and tad and liam were supposed to come but the roads were crappy since we had lots of rain and then snow, and liam had an ear infection. it was good food and the kids got to open the last of their presents from us, auntie althea and grandpa peter got trevor a bigger fishing pole and a tackle box. trevor loved it and fished down our stairs for a while. then when tova went down for nap, grandpa peter headed out and we watched trevor's new movie from unc-o, "the incredibles 2." the rest of the night was spent playing with new toys.
Friday after tova's first nap, we all went to shopko. trevor and al worked on trevor's big arctic lego set from unc-o. then at 5 we all went over to matt & Jodi's house for our Christmas with them. we had supper, exchanged gifts, laughed and then headed home for bed time.
trevor developed a cough on Thursday that came and went the rest of the weekend but he had no other symptoms.
Saturday we just played around the house: had a tea party with the kids new tea set, tova even drank water out of the mini cup, colored the cardboard castle trevor got, lego-d, circuited, etc. it was cold and windy.
sunday was more of the same; I did run to target for some essentials, but we just tried to enjoy our last day of Al's week off.
