2017 :: 51/52 :: Christmas

Tuesday, I got a bunch of stuff done around the house while Al and trevor played, we did some crafts, Trevor didn't nap, then we ran some errands and met the neighb's at cancun. before we even ordered our food, my stomach wasn't feeling well so I left Trevor there with matt & Jodi and the kids while I went home. they dropped him off after and said he was good and ate well.

Wednesday morning T and I ran to the grocery store in the morning then once Al was awake they played and made lunch before nap time.

Thursday morning we went over to Jodi's for a little Christmas party with the daycare kids. they got to do crafts, have snack, make gingerbread houses, and have lunch.

Friday we had a slow-paced, relax day before the craziness of 5 Christmas's in 3 days.

Friday night trevor was up crying lots, complaining of ear pain, only slept from 2-330a and 4-8 (me 4-7). so Saturday morning after we had breakfast and packed up, we ran to urgent care where he had a right ear infection. we stopped at walgreens to get his prescription and then drove up to mom's house. when we got there, uncle Darrell, aunt sandy, molly and sara were there visiting with mom so we visited a bit, unpacked, gave trevor lunch then put him down for nap. then Al and I ran over to brown Christmas (the extended family on my dad's side) for a couple hours before heading back to mom's house. it was at barry and Brenda's house, not far from mom's, and there were lots of family there this year.

once we got back to mom's (trevor didn't nap again) auntie judie, uncle jimmy, GG, uncle wayne, auntie Sheryl and their 2 foreign exchange students were already there for Nesset Christmas. eventually maren, nick, tula, etta, Kayli, travis, ryan, charlotte, uncle Ronnie and Auntie polly came too. it was a fun, good Christmas! we sang Christmas songs with the kids, let the kids open their presents (I made crayon/paper wallets for all the littles & a teether for etta) and then played the usual girl/guy dice game. everyone but Ronnie and polly left by 8 so after we put Trevor to bed, the rest of us played a game of pick.

sunday was Christmas eve. in the morning, we had monkey bread and did our family Christmas with mom, tyler, Al, me and trevor. then had homemade pizza for lunch and laid Trevor down for nap (he didn't nap again). at 3 I woke Al up, got T up and we got ready to go over to dad/papa's house for the warnke Christmas. we had fun! played with legos, lots of ping pong (I won both tourney's while 8 months pregnant, once with tyler the other with auntie Julie), played catch phrase, ate, and laughed lots. my cousin Aryn is 5 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy with a baby boy so it was fun having someone else preggo with me. I dropped Al and T off at mom's house for bedtime at 8 then went back to play more games and stayed until 1230... but had fun.

Monday was Christmas so we woke up, got our santa stockings, ate breakfast, packed up and headed home. grandpa peter came a little after we arrived and we opened presents and played. after lunch, I napped, Trevor laid down for nap (didn't nap again...), and then we played until supper. ate, played, watched a movie and then bed.

had a little scare on Friday, at about 4 pm I couldn't remember feeling baby move at all (usually she moves pretty aggressively especially in the afternoon during nap time so I can't help but notice). so I took the hour between 4-5 to try to be really aware of if I was feeling movement and trying to get her to move. I didn't feel any movement after drinking cold water, laying down, pushing her around, etc. so I called the midwife on call and chatted. she told me to try another hour and be really aware of it (told me to go into a dark, quiet room and lay down or take a bath which wasn't going to happen with a 3 year old and Al at work) and try to eat something. if no movement still then I needed to go in to the hospital. so T and I had supper and while eating I felt her move but still not her aggressive movements. the rest of the weekend I felt less movements then usual but definitely felt her move; i'm ready for my appointment on Tuesday to make sure everything's ok.

I was really sore after playing so much ping pong and sitting on dining room chairs all night but it wasn't too bad.

2017 :: 50/52

Tuesday morning I had a midwife appointment. I got to have it with Nanette who delivered Trevor (I don't get to see her much) so that was fun! I love her! we chatted about some things and she gave me the go ahead to start working out 20-30 minutes a day as long as I take it easy and listen to my body because "i'm a little ahead of the schedule" in the weight gain department. :) so this week I focused more on veggies, less carbs & sugar, and working out which felt really good and I wasn't as out of breath or tired as I thought. after my appointment, I ran to the dollar store then home to pick up trevor so we could go to Jodi's to play before she left for volleyball convention on Wednesday. we ate lunch over there then home for nap which didn't happen until 330....

Wednesday I was crabby and had a headache so we didn't do a whole lot but played some games, colored, did crafts, watched a movie and after I got T up from his no nap we went outside and shoveled the driveway. Trevor was actually a big help this time, he went back and forth with me shoveling the whole driveway and sidewalk and actually cleared snow!

Thursday morning Trevor and I ran to the post office to mail our packages then went to the children's museum since they're pretty close together.

Friday morning Trevor and I drove up to mom's house; during naptime I went over and cleaned manda's house a bit. Friday night we hung out with nana and uncle.

Saturday morning mom, Trevor and I went to our annual winter wonderland in oakdale with our friends: manda, eva, elouise, meg, skye, ty, summer, matt, kunde, gwenie, and Jordy. it was meg, her kids, and my 8th year going, 7th for manda and her girls. we saw santa, ate donuts, pet the puppies & other animals, made smores at the bonfire, went on the horse drawn wagon ride, and did the candy cane hunt. it was lots of fun and not too busy! then we had lunch and mom's before driving home. trevor and I didn't sleep well at mom's house the night before, both awake from 330-5am so we took naps once we got home. then started having some stuffed up noses and dry throats (sinus stuff I think) that lasted for a few days.

Al had Saturday and sunday off. sunday I didn't feel great so Al played with trevor while I got my last Christmas errands done and then napped a bunch. trevor didn't nap and we all went over to matt & Jodi's house for a delicious supper and hanging with our friends. then home for an early bed time; T woke up a few times throughout the night needing to blow his nose & drink some water to help the dry cough.

Monday once we were awake and upright for a bit, we were less stuffy & coughy, so we went over to Jodi's to play all morning.

 I have trouble waiting for him to open his presents,
so we let him open one from auntie molly
(plus then he gets time to play with each one)

 he got to open one from us on sunday too (a bigger, harder puzzle)
a pow wow with chloe and kade :)

30 weeks along this week, only 70 days left; crazy! next week will be single digit weeks left and in my 8th month. it's coming so fast! I slept so much better this week until I got the sinus stuff, less uncomfortable and less heartburn (Nan told me about an over the counter heartburn medicine I can take!) Feeling huge this week and ready to be done being pregnant (which is about word for word what I wrote for this week when preggo with Trevor :]).
