2015 :: 51/52 :: Christmas

I feel a little like a broken record: Al worked a lot this week & sucky overnights. his Monday, which was Tuesday night, he worked 11p-11a. what a horrible shift especially for the week of Christmas!

Tuesday and Wednesday we spent quite a bit of time at the neighb's house. Tuesday night we all had stir fry dinner with them before Al went to work. then Wednesday morning and afternoon T and I went over there to play and do crafts. then I bought them pizza for supper and we ate over at their house so we didn't wake Al up. T started to get a runny nose and I had a sore throat.

Thursday (Christmas eve), Al got home from work at 8 am and had to go be back at 3pm; yuck! T and I drove up to the cities in the morning so Al could sleep and so we could make it to my dad's side Christmas that afternoon. we went over to my papa's house after nap. papa bought us yummy tinucci's for supper and we visited and played with family. then I brought T back to mom's house around 730 for bedtime, and I went back to papa's for some games, ping pong and lots of laughs. we played ping pong, cards against humanity, and password. I beat my brother in ping pong!!!! it's been hard to beat him since he has such a long reach but I finally did it, and by a lot! I also kept up with my dad in ping pong, was leading at one point, and only lost 18-21!

Friday (Christmas day), mom and tyler drove up to silver bay to get my grama for Christmas on Saturday. T and I lounged a bit since T still had a runny nose and my throat was still sore. then we headed over to papa's house again since auntie lynne and auntie cindy were there for the morning. we went back to mom's house for lunch and nap, and then mom and tyler got back at the end of T's nap. that night, Tyler and I went to my cousin aryn's house to play a little more password but I was home before 10 as I was tired.

Saturday was mom's side Christmas at wayne and Sheryl's house. we spent the morning just lounging as T's runny nose had brought on a bit of a wet cough. after lunch, we drove slow and let T nap on the way up to maple grove. Trevor had a good time playing with Tula and Ryan! we opened presents before supper this year which was easier with the littles. I made them all capes, mom crocheted them scarves and crowns, and Kayli made them all pillows! :) we then did the girl dice game and I got my first adult coloring book!!! we had lots of food and cookies, and had a good time! that night, Trevor was up every 2 hours crying and coughing. i'd go in there and lay upright on the bed with him sleeping on me so he could drain a bit, then i'd put him back in the crib and he'd sleep for another 2 hours. I put a thin, full size pillow in his crib with him too to try to keep him a little elevated and he liked it! he slept on it all night and for his nap on sunday.

Al came up early sunday morning so we could do our family presents. santa came back for us :) and was good to us! trevor loved delivering and opening the presents but wasn't feeling great. he got lots of good toys and clothes from grama and unc including a scooted, a track for talking cars, a stuffed puppy with leash, adidas shoes, an adidas track suit, pj's, a bath robe, books with a reader/tablet thing, some new 'chines, and some books. Al and I got a new vacuum! and some other great clothes and books! mom made lasagna for supper and we decided to drive home after supper (in between the packer and Vikings games) so that we could all sleep in our beds and so trevor wouldn't wake grama up all night again since she had to work the next day.

2015 :: 50/52

this week the weather was gloomy and rainy, and Al worked 3 overnights & thus slept most of the daylight hours. trevor and I spent lots of time at the neighb's or crafting or watching tv (we were tired, hopefully just the weather). we lost all our snow and it doesn't look good to have a white Christmas...

Wednesday once Al and Trevor were awake from nap, we dressed warm and packed up to go see the lights at Irvine park in Chippewa. we got there just after 4 so it wasn't dark yet but more dusk, and it was raining. so we drove through the whole thing then parked, got out and walked half of it. there were so many lights and statues, and Trevor loved walking through the mud and puddles. :) it was beautiful and we practically had it to ourselves since it was raining; we were the only ones walking through it.

Thursday we played at the neighb's in the morning and then watched cam & chloe at night. T loves playing with them and wants to do everything Cam does. we have trevor's little slide in our living room right now and the 3 of them went up and down and around that thing for half an hour if not more.

Friday morning, trevor and I drove up to mom's as she had the day off. mom fed Trevor and put him down for nap while I went and got my hair cut. then after supper, I went over to manda's house for a movie night; we watched pitch perfect 2!

Saturday morning was our annual winter wonderland free event in oakdale. I've been going for years with meg, the twins & summer, and manda and her girls. T's first year was last year but he wasn't walking yet so he was in the carrier on me. this year was more fun for him since he could walk and see and do more things; although it was much colder this year. we saw santa, pet the animals at the petting zoo, went on a candy cane hunt, wagon ride, sat by the bonfire, pet lots of puppies, gave high fives to a snowman. we had lots of friends/family join us this year: meg, summer, skye & ty, manda, johnny, eva & elouise, maren, nick & tula, kunde, matt & gwen! we had a successful santa sit picture with trevor even tho he first tried to bolt away from santa, then laid his head on my shoulder away from santa. but he was fine once I sat him on his lap and we even got partial smile from him. then Tula joined Trevor on his lap to help ease Tula onto santa. Trevor loved the puppies and all the animals and walked almost the whole time in full snow gear/boots.

after Winter Wonderland, we drove home to eau Claire because Al had the day off. after nap, we ran some errands and had an early night.

sunday we drove to Wausau for our Christmas with Al's family. we got there just before 10. right when we got there, Al put Trevor down and Althea's roommate's dog Vinny came barking around the corner and scared T. then Griffin (Althea's dog) jumped up on him to say hi and scared him again. he was scared of the dogs the rest of the day although he got better as the day went on. we had some appetizers and Trevor gave grandpa Peter multiple hugs! he loved playing with auntie althea and her boyfriend chad. we opened presents and Trevor loved what he got! Auntie Althea got him a garage ramp with a couple cars and some hotwheels cars (perfect for him)! Grandpa Peter got him a huge box full of every different color of playdoh (we've been wanting to try playdoh!) and 3 great books with a bunch of Disney short stories in them. wendy and wanda got him a little people airport with an airplane that goes around and around! it has luggage, a car to transport the luggage, a table & chairs, a pilot and a steward. he's loved playing with it already especially hitting the button to make the airplane fly.

shortly before lunch, wendy, keith, casey, Jeremy, and wanda came over. we were in the middle of present opening when they came so we gave hugs then continued. then we ate lunch (we had tons of food) and Trevor loved the meatballs grandpa peter made; he ate probably 5 whole ones. there were lots of cookies and mimosas! we watched some football (couldn't get the Vikings game to come in) and laughed. we all headed out just after 2 and Trevor slept the whole way home. once home, we watched the packer game and had another early bed time.

Monday morning I got a bunch of things done from my to do list and then we went out to lunch with our Christmas money to one of our favorite places in ec that we haven't been to since before Trevor, Mogies. we had burgers, cheesy tator tots, and yummy beer!
