trevor :: 42nd week

11/25/14

trevor: tried cheerios & loves them/did great with them, wants to hold our fingers and pull to standing all the time, he loves to figure out book pages: he'll use only his thumbs trying to get them apart & turn them (board books are harder than plastic paged books because the pages stick together more), he'll grab my lips to turn my head in order to reach my hair, goes from sitting to tummy back to sitting, scooted backwards on knees a couple times, likes to drop toys and then pick them up especially when sitting on us on a chair or couch, got 7th tooth

here's another comparison adding in 40 weeks :)
if he'd keep his legs stretched out, we could really see a difference in size.

-----------------------
it was still super cold until the weekend and we got a bit more snow, so we stayed in a lot. we did go visit the neighb's on Thursday so Trevor got to play with his friends. some of the bigger kids even took toys from him a couple times and he did fine, just grabbed another toy. Trevor and I also went over there on Saturday night to play.

Friday, mom came down and stayed until Saturday. I got to get an actual haircut from our friend, jenny; it feels good to have a style and hopefully that'll help me to do something with my hair from time to time. mom and I made trevor angels for Christmas during one of trevor's naps.

sunday was the Viking packer game, so we watched it at home with al before he had to work. sunday was his Friday and was also like 50 degrees out so most of our snow melted. it started raining sunday night and then Monday morning started snowing and covered our ground in white again. it also started getting cold, cold again.

Tuesday when we were playing and Trevor was on his back, I noticed a little bulging on his bottoms gums, so I took a look then stuck my finger in and there was a tooth popped through! I don't know when exactly it came through as I hadn't felt for a while, but he had really been drooling all week and not as bad Tuesday, so I'm hoping it had just popped through.

we're looking forward to thanksgiving; mom, and hopefully tyler, is coming down to eat here since al has to work. i'm hoping Trevor gets to try some of the food, especially the turkey as we haven't been very successful in getting him some protein. even if it's just throwing it in the blender, I hope to get him some. then after thanksgiving we'll start another push at getting him to feed himself!

 he sits like this a lot now so that he can reach forward

trevor :: 41st week

11/18/14

trevor: got his 6th tooth (upper), finally consistently sleeping better: we often get multiple nights in a row where he only wakes up once usually around 430am, loves to take apart his stacking cups: will work hard to get 2 of them apart, loves to stand: at the couch or pulling himself up using our fingers, raised up on knees and scooted backwards a bit, patch through the rest of the year and then hope it gets better, started using the long sleep sack I bought at a consignment sale to ensure he stays warm since blankets do not stay on him since he rolls so much, horse loud scream/cry when falling asleep and in the middle of the night, learned to mimic a click noise with his tongue

--------------------------------------------

It was super cold this week! Felt like January not November; brrr!

Friday, Trevor and I went up to the cities. I went and played 500 at my dad's with uncle munk, dad and tyler. it was ok, but my level of play is much lower than theirs. also, on Friday one of al's co-workers got stabbed multiple times; so scary! Al got called in early to help cover and the story is still a little weird and not complete, but his co-worker will be ok. he had to have plastic surgery but the doc was optimistic that you won't even be able to see scars. ugh, I hate it and can't stop thinking about it.

Saturday, mom, Trevor and I ran some errands but it was pretty chilly so we didn't do much. Saturday night after Trevor went to bed, mom and I had some wine and we played wizard with tyler. it was fun and we laughed quite a bit. Trevor was up from 1230-130am just really crying. we couldn't get him to calm down or stop crying for very long, hoping that doesn't continue. sunday we headed home to watch football with al before he had to work.

Monday we had to drive to Marshfield for Trevor's 2nd appointment with the eye doctor. it was a ways to drive for a short appointment. the doctor said his eye has gotten better so we'll hope that it continues on the upward path and he'll grow out of it. he said to patch him an hour a day for the rest of the year and then the first of the year to not patch unless we notice it getting worse.

trevor has started this weird cry/scream thing that seems to come from deep in his throat and is horse when he's falling asleep. it's hard to listen to and i'm afraid the neighbors will hear it especially when it's at 130 am. dr sarumi told us to let him cry it out in the middle of the night so he'll learn to sleep all night as he doesn't need the mid-night feeding anymore but it's so hard to listen to. hopefully it's just a phase and he'll outgrow it.

I also am hoping to find a chiropractor here in eau Claire for trevor because last time we met with dr angie (up in the cities) he had his longest, hardest (for angie, not trevor) adjustment. i'd hate to leave it go and have that be a reason he's not sleeping, not pooping great, not crawling or is uncomfortable. it just really sucks that insurance doesn't help with any of it.... but anything for my boy!

me: I got my period again last week after only having it in august (NOT pregnant) and it was a doosy, hoping it stays at just every couple months while I'm nursing but if it's not hopefully it goes back to normal and not this extreme one. i'm not used to this anymore :) no cramps though, so that's good.

 the closest to crawling he gets;
from sitting, he leans forward to reach something and puts his legs out to the side
 trying to get him to feed himself:
he loves his puffs and will find them amongst the other food, pick them up, use both hands & all fingers to get them in his mouth, but won't put the other, real food in his mouth. clever little stinker. :) he'll chew up and eat the pieces when I put them in his mouth. we'll keep trying.

 you can kind of see his other 2 teeth here
 he made himself a fort/tunnel. :)
 selfie with uncle tyler
 movember.
beard made by grama (he's not a fan of it so we had to hold it on)
 first bath in the sink at grama's because I forgot to bring the tub
 holiday crafting starting;
we made these for us & the grandparents.
 new bike

 fits into the sweater grama made him before he was born

cutest road trip buddy
 working on that Velcro to get his neck protector off
(which he does every time he's in the car now)

 sleepy, squishy lips :)

 practicing the crawling position
 although it's usually like this: straight legs/planking
 he pulls everything off his head (hats) but this he leaves on? :)
 loves to fall asleep with his blanket touching his face now,
also we've been using our handmade dinosaur camo sleep sack I got at a consignment sale, so much more relief for me that he's staying warm because blankets do not stay on this roley wiggle worm

trevor :: 40th week

11/11/14

trevor: tried halved beans and peas, turns pages of board books for me, says ma ma ma, too big/long for 6 month clothes & almost 9 month clothes, figures out how to get Velcro things undone & has persistence in doing so, he's hard to burp (cuz he's so wiggly) and usually burps on his own after eating, 9 month appointment, poops in moist, larger nuggets, scrunches his nose all the time, likes to grab and pull hair, got his 5th tooth (upper) & almost his 6th (other upper), first snowfall of the winter

----------------------

Thursday was Trevor's 9 moth appointment. he was 18 lbs 5 oz (25th percentile), 28.75 inches long (75th percentile), and his head was in the 95th percentile. :) we all got the flu shot at his appointment, but that was his only shot. I had tons of questions for dr sarumi like:
-if his little nugget poop is troublesome? she said it's likely the on set of constipation and to give him pears every day
-about his chapped, rosy cheeks. likely the weather and to put a humidifier in his room
-flakey toenails. normal.
-she noticed his turned in eyes again, we go back to the eye doctor on the 17th
-she noticed his next 2 top teeth are nearly in

Friday Trevor and I went up to the cities. we did some errands with mom and cleaned/organized the basement where all our crap is. I got our storage area much more organized and less stuff (donating and selling a bunch). we also tried out trevor's sled and got some more big boy toys to bring home for him to play with.

Saturday we met Jodi and luke at target in Eagan to exchange some things and shop. then at night we had johnny's dad's celebration of life. mom and tyler came too. it was a good time with good friends.

sunday we went back to eau Claire since Al was off and it was supposed to snow sunday night into Monday, 6-10 inches. yikes! upon our return to ec we got all our outside stuff put away and my tulips covered, in prep for the snow. then we went to the neighb's for the packer game. sunday night was a bad sleeping night, I think it was because of his teeth. the next top ones were below the gum line but still covered by gums sunday night and even worse Monday morning. I fed him at 750pm and he didn't fall asleep until 1050. al and I tried every trick in our book to no avail; he just wouldn't sleep but was so tired.

Monday morning he was pretty fussy but also had times where he was ok. I gave him a teething ring from the fridge and then froze some ice cubes and wet/froze the end of a wash cloth in prep for later. then shortly before nap time, he started bleeding from one of the teeth. by that evening, the tooth had popped through and he was much happier and slept better that night.

 comparison of trevor & daddy in the same shirt :)
thanks for the picture grama diane!
I love being able to do comparisons & even tho al's older than trevor in this shirt, I can still see similarities.

 there seems to be a part of the toy missing... :)
 I love this picture, such a big smile
& you can see the happiness in his eyes
 you can kind of see that other tooth still covered in gums on the left side (his right)
 first snowfall of the year, we got about 4 inches.
I love when it sticks on the trees,
this is the view out our patio door.
