day dreamer

in my 28th year,
i dream of:

-knowing who i am and being/living that no matter what. and being happy in it.
-a career where i get to organize, work with numbers and be athletic.
-being strong.
-helping others to help themselves.
-leading by example instead of the usual lecture people get.
-being knowledgeable in everything yet always learning new things.
-sewing wearable clothes.
-having my own people and animals to take care of.
-a house that i can make my own, that i'm responsible for, can decorate and garden however i want.
-having money to give, to help others be happy and let them do what they want.
-being fearless.
-sky diving and hot air ballooning.
-always living in the moment, soaking up the people i get to be with especially the littles.
-being able to work on my own cars.
-traveling lots, seeing all kinds of beautiful places and experiencing lots of cool things.
-never having to raise my voice; being calm and collected in tough situations.
-having a super fast, awesome volkswagen.
-learning some kind of martial art.
-speaking intelligently.
-having quick wit.
-controlling my brain and thinking; being able to turn it off.
-to be able to make everyone smile and laugh.
-world peace :)
-getting to read in a hammock by a lake with a canopy of evergreens and sunshine often.
-having a wakeboarding boat and a driver.
-driving my volkswagen on the autobahn
-getting my tattoo(s)
-finding my limits and true ability to push (crossfit)
-constantly expanding my vocabulary
-being a ninja and/or a jedi

just a few of the things i've currently been thinking about.

the lake :: 2012

i just realized i didn't blog any pictures or anything from the lake this year.

we didn't have very good weather (stormy, rainy) but it was fun.

we had a luau in celebration of caddie and fred's wedding.

and the girls' night theme was kentuky derby.

we also switched resorts, lakes, towns this year

after having been at potato lake and park rapids for over a decade.

it was strange and different, but not bad.

at caddie and fred's luau, i got to play/take pictures with maren's fancy camera and flash; i had a blast doing so. it's so much easier for me to take pictures of people i know.

these days :: end of july/beginning of august 2012

still busy with lots of softball and work at marsden (which i will be done with as of august 15th now, bittersweet...) but here are some things happening in my life status quo.

one of my favorite cousins, kai, is embarking on a semester at sea with his wonderful partner, brett! they're going and stopping lots of cool places and i'm really jealous! i attended one of their many going away parties. brett might be a little bit short, so kai and i had to bend down :)

finally found and stopped at a farmer's market (my first this year; so ashamed to say that).

i got zucchini, mini cucumbers and trying out beets for the first time.

i also got flowers, coffee and a snickerdoodle. :]

 our thursday night volleyball team continually proves to be a hilarious, super fun time that leads to too many shenanigans and too late of a bed time. :) love these "fun one" girls; trina and steph.

i'm trying to appreciate my surroundings more and enjoy the peaceful, non-working time i have, so i took some time to hang out in mom's backyard (which i love!!) one nice morning.
