baby shower & cute kids

went to a friends baby shower on sunday. it was good to see all the softball ladies, the games were fun, the food was good, and there were super cute kids there!

here is my friend kris' lil guy, easton. he's 3 months old and so cute and smiley!

here is my friend amanda's cute lil one, eva. she's a little over a year now and growing even cuter every time i see her! she knows a little bit of sign language now and i got to see it today; she's so smart! manda always dresses her so cute!! today: a homemade knit sweater with amazing colors and purple cord skinny jeans! i love it!! so cute!!

her hair is getting longer now and it's curly in the back; adorable!
kris also has ellie (pictured on the left here). ellie was too much of a mover today for me to get pics of her alone, but she's so frickin cute too! and she liked me this time :) she's such a big helper! she can dress herself, put her shoes on, put things away, put her nook in her pocket (so cute!) and she says "uh huh" to everything! i just love her! ellie will be 2 in march and is such a little peanut!

here is one of the games: the tinkle game. there were 2 teams; it was a relay type of game. we had to put a balloon under our shirt and had to walk with 2 quarters between our knees over to a glass on the ground and drop the quarters in the cups without using our hands. it was supposed to simulate peeing as a pregnant lady. so funny!! here is nancy and mel going for it!

the next game was picking small safety pins out of rice and it was much more difficult then expected. and i won that one with 7! :)

then we did the cotton ball game. you were blind folded and had to scoop cotton balls from the bucket in your lap to the bucket on your head. it was so funny! here is manda's turn.

hinckley

this weekend we went up to hinckley with a group of friends. i had sooo much fun and haven't laughed that hard and that much in a super long time. it was such a good time away. and these people are hilarious! :)

hockey

i have never played hockey. i never thought i would play hockey. but this winter i got a bee in my bonnet and decided i would like to know how to play hockey. i got some skates and a stick. i also got the other equipment needed, which i have yet to use. i have skated my whole life, but only a couple times a season. i can not skate to any level of a hockey player. and i cannot do any kind of stick or puck handling. my hope is to play in one game this year... i have a long way to go. :) i felt it necessary to make my hockey equipment girly, hence the pink tape. and since my feet are so funny shaped hockey skates usually kill my feet, but lon was able to get them punched out for me. and now they're so comfy!! i can skate for more then 15 minutes without my feet dying. no excuses now...one of my best friends, lon. he was able to skate with me for a bit today.

visit to eau claire

last weekend i visited eau claire to see some of my good friends from when i lived there. it was so good to see some of them and to hang out with my trina! i got to meet week old baby gia. she's so tiny and so cute!! i tried putting her hair into a mohawk :)her little smirk! :)


hung out with trina the rest of the day then had a girls night out on the town with trina, courtney and sarah! nothing like a night on water street to remind me that i'm not in college anymore :) sunday was spent recovering in bed... was lots o fun tho!!

i started a new project at the beginning of the year: 365 project. in which you take/post a photo a day. so i have been taking lots of pictures this month so far and i love that! i hope i can continue it but so far so good. along with lots of photos come lots of blog posts that i just cannot keep up with so here are some of the photos from last week and a lil jibberish about them.

crazy, dark, snowy drive. i was attempting to capture the blizzardy, snow coming down and at me while i was driving but it didn't work. but sometimes i love feeling like i'm driving in the middle of no where and the snow was beautiful. i love that there are no street or house lights on this road!

got to go bowling. realized i haven't been in a long time and that i need my papa to re-teach me how to bowl. i cannot get the thing to go straight anymore...

seeing the sun in minnesota these days is few and far between, but when we do it's magnificent!! this was a sunset last week.

i am getting much much closer to achieving a full pull up at crossfit! (i have never been able to do a pull up.) but in doing so i got my first rip. it was huge. it's just about healed now, although it did crack this past weekend...

wild game

went to the wild game last night versus the stars. the wild lost 4-0 which means we didn't even get to cheer for one goal... but jodi's little nephew skated inbetween the first 2 periods and it was sooo cute! we cheered harded for them then for the wild :)

zumba

last night i went to zumba in the club (a zumba party!) with a bunch of my girls! the amazing zumba instructor awbria led it and there were so many people there! they were estimating about 280. it was held at bogarts in apple valley and bogarts was donating all the proceeds from the night to awbria's 4 year old daughters benefit fund. so in honor of her daughter, analia, everyone tried to wear pink and sparkles (analia's favorite). it was a great success! very fun but exhausting! so many people packed into a small space, dancing, and 1.5 hours of zumba equals one hot place. :)

twinsies

i haven't done a post on the babies (that are not really babies any more...) in a while. the twins are now 20 months old and are really becoming little people. they are just starting to talk, and they can understand what you say. they laugh and smile all the time and get into everything!! they have tons of teeth and love to do things for themselves. they're also becoming a bit naughty :)

is it softball time yet?

i finally got out to the batting cages last night!! got to practice up on my swing and learned a few of the things i am doing wrong. i now feel like i can get some actual power behind the ball (thanks to lon!). next up will be working on hitting the ball on the sweet spot of the bat and hitting in the middle of the ball. it was fun and i got a lot of swings in.
